No quedarnos más días

Nous avons été très déçus de notre séjour. À la dernière minute, on nous a annoncé que la chambre que nous avions réservée (Pink Room) n’était plus disponible à cause d’un problème de surbooking. Nous avons donc été relogés dans un autre bâtiment situé à 10 minutes à pied, ce qui n’était pas prévu.

Le deuxième jour, l’accès au bâtiment et à notre chambre a été bloqué sans aucune information préalable : le lien d’ouverture des portes ne fonctionnait plus et nous avons été obligés de régler les taxes immédiatement pour pouvoir accéder à nos affaires, alors qu’il nous restait encore une nuitée.

Le jour du check-out, nous avons été pressés de quitter la chambre et il nous a même été interdit d’utiliser les toilettes de l’appartement avant notre départ, ce qui était particulièrement désagréable.

En résumé : mauvaise gestion, absence totale de communication, et un service loin d’être à la hauteur de ce que nous attendions.

When we arrived to the apartment the owner asked us to cancel the booking because he has overbooking and then he stopped answering our messages and calls and didn't let us to the room.

Me cambiaron de localización, no me confirmaron antes el cambio ni me comunicaron por ningún medio, otras reservas se han preocupan por lo menos de saber a qué hora llegas, este cuando llegue me dio otra dirección y lo único que le preocupa era cobrar su 12€ de la estancia por persona adicional a la reserva, no tiene TV y el baño es compartido y cuando se lo comenté al que me atendía por teléfono claro porque nadie había ahí para recibirte, me dijo que me alquilara un piso, lo hubiera hecho si no fuera que al que suelo ir estaba ya cogido. La atención deja mucho que desear sinceramente el tal Giancarlo que me atendió es un puñetero borde y mal educado, por más bonito que sea la zona , por el trato que me han dado no lo recomiendo a nadie

Non era chiarissimo che la casa e il bagno fossero condivisi, ma può tranquillamente essere stata una mia disattenzione.

My dislikes are limited to the experience. As mentioned above I couldn't even get into the property.
Prior to my stay the host didn't get in touch with me to tell me how to check in; upon arriving at the property (admittedly 1.5h prior to the check-in time) I realised that the apartment complex didn't have a clearly dedicated doorbell. At that point, worried about the lack of communication and inability to locate the flat, I tried to call the property twice and got no response.
I ended up having to call Booking.com who also tried to reach out to the host who didn't answer; eventually I had to book an hotel as a replacement.

Not only all the above, the host ended up calling me at 9:30pm and messaging me on whatsapp reminding me of the reservation; I replied advising all the above points and he proceeded to apologise for not being able to host me (providing no justification whatsoever for the lack of communication) and asked me to reach out to that number in future (as if there is going to be a next time!).

You think that's it? Of course not. At 11:30pm the host proceeded to send me two more messages on Whatsapp apologising again and asking if he could offer me a coffee the following day.

I was trying to be fair and thought maybe there was a genuine reason for not picking up the phone, but honestly I think the host has been unprofessional leading up to the reservation, at the moment of the reservation and after the reservation.

As a solo woman traveler, I felt extremely uncomfortable with the messages.

The room was a little bit cold at night but there was an extra blanket so it was okay.
