The location. The friendly staff.
We stayed in the flat. I don't really think it is very suitable to let as part of the accommodation (we have stayed previously in the hotel)
It was extremely cold at night. Somewhat dark and the bathroom wasn't really up to it.
Lovely old Inn that has been transformed into a great place to stay, eat and drink. Excellent staff (special mention to the Ewan Mcgregor look a like!). Amelia, one of the owners, was so friendly and helpful too.
Our room was well laid out and the bed was very comfortable, cooking facilities were well equipped too.
We ate in the restaurant one night and it was very good food.. Would definitely stay again.
NOTHING!
Friendly attentive member of staff, junior suite was ready when we arrived so he checked us in early and showed us to our large and airy room. Massive comfy bed - super king - could have slept 4 people in it! Quality linens, towels, toiletries, a fridge - even bathrobes available. Hot and powerful shower; we didn't use the bath. Room serviced daily and towels etc replaced. We had coffee making facilities in our room but there was also a shared kitchen where you could make toast with homemade jam, cereals etc. Useful to have car parking available which is hard to come by in Topsham. Location was central and the inn is absolutely charming.
That we couldn't stay longer to sample the food; it looked amazing and the dining room was always busy but we were visiting relatives so didn't get the opportunity to eat there. Next time!
Location, comfort, food, parking and the friendly helpful staff

Lovely hotel, great facilities, really enjoyed the galley room where you could make tea, nice expresso coffee, there is even a toaster, and cereal if you have to leave early. Parking around the back of the hotel, Really delicious food at the restaurant. especially the seafood platter.
not a smart TV.
I loved the ease of check in and location. The staff were friendly and very helpful especially the lady who did the housekeeping.i had the most amazing couple of nights sleep, probably the best in years due to the comfortable bed and bedding.
Amazing sense of peace and relaxation
Really great food
Nothing in particular
Great location and lovely room - breakfast was freshly prepared and there was a great choice and the staff were lovely
The galley room is an excellent idea if you are light breakfasters as we are ,it is what makes the price of the rooms a bit more acceptable. The use of the front room is also a plus ,especially when meeting friends.Nice toiletries !
In the galley room, the bread could have been fresher, some brown sugar and marmalade too ! Another chair in the room ,my partner had to perch on the bed in a dark corner whilst I was able to enjoy my coffee sitting on a chair !
Great location. Comfortable bed.
Check out process slow
The mattress was too soft and gave you no support
nothing else
Easy to find, great parking which is at a premium in Topsham. The room was a great size and the storage good. Odd to even have to mention this as every hotel should have this but there was a socket near a mirror for drying hair. The bathroom was super clean and the staff friendly and helpful. They do not have tea/coffee making facilities in the room but they have a kitchen for use by guests fully stocked with nice tea/coffee, breakfast cereals and bread/jam/butter. Such a good idea as at least there was a fridge in there stocked with fresh milk which is so much better than the sachets of milk usually provided. There were bathrobes and a bottle of water on our bedside tables. All in all a great stay.

We had a gorgeous lunch - great relaxed atmosphere

The common parts of the building and level of food served.
Room quite basic/dated. Expecting more based upon the common parts of the building and level of food served.
Quiet, nice galley kitchen and friendly helpful staff
The lady cleaner was excellent and most helpful, give her a bonus 🙂
We visited on a Tuesday in Winter so no evening meal available, shame but understandable.
