This was great, the views from both sides of the Hotel are facing the ocean. There’s all sorts of beautiful birds flying around the cliffs. Staff was friendly and helpful and the meals were great.
Cosy nice relax
Not professional staff, disrespectful treatment by the owner. Downgraded room by the owner for the less money I payed for. Instead terrace apartment #9 was giving studio room #2.
Dirty shower glasses, no warm water, no draning water in the shower.
The bed linen soiled, uncomfortable to touch exposed skin during our sleep time.
The luck of safe box was not working. Staff was unable to fix it.
LOVED this property. Breathtaking views, beautiful and clean room, and the service is very good, and close to many beautiful, good restaurants and cafes. Dylan, the girl at the front, is very nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend.
The hotel was super nice and has one of the coolest layouts i have ever seen! My room was absolutely beautiful, along with the rest of the hotel and the views were just beautiful!
The staff was so so so kind!!! I had an extremely enjoyable experience checking in and checking out. I even got to meet with the owner of the hotel and is adorable dog (which was just icing on the cake), and he was not only super friendly, but very accommodating when I wasn't feeling well!!
Highly recommend!!
This small hotel is newly constructed. I stayed in room number four, which opened onto the pool deck and has an excellent view of the ocean. Room size, appointments, and cleanliness were all excellent. Check in and check out were a breeze. There are some steep hills in the area, so a four-wheel-drive vehicle is a good idea. I have stayed in a lot of accommodations in Manuel Antonio and, this one is very high on the list.
This was a little paradise we found! Next time we will stay longer. Great view of the ocean from the pool deck and the terrace restaurant. Room was clean and spacious. The Owner checked us in was so lovely and wanted us to feel at home.
VOS was perfect! Lovely property and staff is awesome!
Still a long way from what they charge per night....I've paid less @ better properties on the zone...
I.e I've been asking for my bill to be sent to my email and 24 horas later I have not received anything....
Client service needs a huge improvement and so does the premises..
Great boutique hotel in Manuel Antonio area, used by our family of 5 with three teenagers (They had one suite, we had another one) Only 9 suites, all with likely great views. The suites open up into the patio where meals are served - quirky but really nice! Just loved the feel of this place as opposed to a large fancier place. Staff always was helpful when needing a cup of coffee, ice, towels or anything else. Would highly recommend for a family with older kids or for couples. Nice smaller pool to use to cool off from the heat, with great view of "jungle" and ocean. And can walk (down/up a relatively steep road) to Las Playitas beach, which had great waves, beautiful beach, options to take surf lesson or just rent chairs. Also, nice having AC in each bedroom - there was not AC in the den where the pullout couch was, so we squeezed it into the bedroom so our teenage son had AC for sleeping. When doing so, we scratched up the wall pretty good - VOS noticed this at checkout but didn't charge us for that incident, which was very nice of them. P.S. Have the owner take you up to the Penthouse to check it out (or better yet book it if on a honeymoon!) - it's amazing! Pura Vida!
I stayed in this hotel for 2 days. There was no hot water for shower for the entire stay. The hotel staff tried to fix it. But it was not successful. You can imagine how bad it was. This is not the end. When I checkout, the reception girl charged me $250 instead of credit. The transaction is to release the deposit the hotel charged me during checkin. I was not aware the charge until I got home. During my checkout, the hotel agreed to refund $100 to compensate the inconvenience of not having hot water. Today, it’s 14 days after I left the hotel. I didn’t receive the credit of $250 mis-charge, no $100 refund they promised. I sent several emails to the customer service. They keep saying it is under process. I don’t think I will ever receive the $350. I called my credit card company and disputed the $250. I love travel and stayed in many hotels. This is the worst experience I have ever had.
This is a beautiful hotel in the middle of nature and with a great view of the ocean. The staff is friendly and helped us arranging really cool activities which made our trip so much fun. We love it there and we'll get back for sure.
The hotel room was very spacious and modern, with a great view to the pool and the ocean. The pool was just outside of the room. The view to the ocean was fantastic, up in a cliff. There were plenty of dining options within 5-10 minutes from the hotel as well as other activities, such as parasailing, kayaking, etc.. Manuel Antonio national park was 10-15 minutes away. The staff was very friendly and helpful with checking in and information of the surroundings. I was quite pleased with my experience.
Fue un increíble lugar. Lo recomiendo
All as described, friendly welcome, efficient check in. Property lovely and clean. Recommended.
An excellent place to stay. Clean, safe, accommodating services & information.
Pros, first the view from this property is amazing and if you want to see monkeys go to the 3rd floor top deck. The owner/manager Tony is really nice and helpful, ready to answer questions any time of day. Our room was huge and modern with floor to ceiling windows facing the ocean view, bathroom was a large size and room had good air conditioning.
Cons, the water temp fluctuates in shower so i got blasted with cold several times per shower. Also in our room the sliding glass doors didn’t come together completely so there was a long gap and with the jungle right outside I was worried about little critters getting in.
Overall our stay was really pleasant at this small boutique hotel.
I would not recommend this hotel. The owners were not as friendly and understanding as most people in Costa Rica. They refused to refund my trip when I was unable to make it with advance notice.
Vista Suites has a great location and the best staff!! The owners are so friendly and live on site. The location is convenient and you can walk down the hill to a beach or up the hill to eat. The room is comfortable and modern. We saw 3 toucans from the patio and 1 monkey but there are so many monkeys in the area! One of the owners suggestions was to do use the facilities at Arenas Del Mar Beach resort and we did. We had a reservation so they were waiting to pick us up at the parking and take us to the beach. The food and drinks were some of the best we had and there was a sloth in the tree above the table!!
Some things to note: the property is still under construction. It can be noisy during the day but they are building an amazing property.
There is a dog on the property. She is the sweetest girl and we were so happy to see her each day.
Hot water is hard to get- at least it was in room 4. We only had 1 hot shower in 4 days. If you have issues make sure to let the staff know.
