The location was nice and quiet at night - perfect for a good night's sleep. It is close to a bus stop and you are in Edinburgh city in about 30 minutes. There is a Tesco nearby and a bakery where you can get breakfast. The host is very hospitable and kind. The whole place is nice and clean, and you get nice fresh towels. In the room you can make tea or coffee - there's a kettle and a coffee machine. And, most importantly, the bed is very comfortable.

Host said check in until midnight. Unfortunately my flight was delayed due to bad weather and I arrived later than expected. I arrived at Alberto’s to find my booking cancelled and him refusing to let me in unless I paid extra £20 for a late check in fee. In total paid £112 for a very simple accommodation as I had no other option. I asked what the extra fee was for and was told that after midnight the booking is no longer available through booking.com so he was allowing me to stay through his own free will. Therefore he could be asking a lot more and £20 is very generous as he could have told me to ‘go away and sleep under a bridge’. Altogether an unpleasant experience.

Entry instructions were sent promptly and were clear and easy to follow. Room spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee making facilities were welcome. A microwave oven was also in place.
Easy 10 minute drive to the airport. The room rate was a little pricey for what was on offer but considerably less than the rip-off prices charged by the airport hotels. Would recommend!
No TV!
The location was perfect for me visiting my mother I. a care home directly across the road (I travelled from Spain)

It was very clean and very hospitable
was super easy to get by taxi from the airport and to edinburgh by bus. Directions to get in were super easy to understand and the host was very nice and answered all my questions.
This is not an entire unit - rather a one bedroom flat where the owner will allegedly stay in his living room and claim he won't use the only bathroom in the flat for the duration of your stay so he can advertise a private bathroom is included. Then will not refund price for nights booked that were not used as the guest felt too uncomfortable with the setup to stay.
