The bed was very comfortable (soft, but not too soft) and the pillows were good as well.
The room has a good mini refrigerator and a flat screen TV (but terrible reception)
The hotel has an elevator and you can park your motorbike inside the foyer.
A few cafes and local restaurants are nearby and a Bahn Hoa Xan (supermarket chain) is within easy walking distance.
Located off the main street, so no external noise....big issue is the internal noise made from the room attendants (see the dislikes for more on that)
Although the bathroom is a decent size, clean with a separate showering area and the water pressure is good, it fails miserably as there was NO HOT WATER...no matter how long you let the hot tap run on maximum. I waited a good ten minutes to see if I could get hot water, but no....you couldn't even call it lukewarm. EPIC FAIL (I deducted 2 points for that poor effort)
The flatscreen TV has many channels, but as you get into the higher channels (after #10) the reception gets weaker and weaker. By the time you get to any English channels the reception is so poor it's impossible to watch (a point deduction for that).
In the morning, forget about sleeping in. As soon as a guest vacates, the housekeeping starts cleaning, and you get disturbed by the constant cacophonous banging, clanging, and clattering as the rooms are being cleaned...absolutely NO thoughts or considerations about the other guests trying to sleep. This noise started just before 8am. (I'm not a tourist on holidays, I'm a traveller and I don't need to be up and ready to go early...I prefer to sleep in to 9 or 10am). A 2 point deduction for that abysmal scenario.
There are no price lists for the mini-bar / snacks, so they cheekily charge you for the coffee sachets (10,000VND each)...what an extortionist price. I should give another point deduction for that sneaky profitable business tactic.
Finally, they boast about being pet friendly upon Booking.com, but when I arrived, I was told that "we don't usually allow pets, so you will have to pay extra if there is any mess"...it's as if they're doing me a great favour by allowing my little dog to stay = NOT very pet friendly at all!!! Booking.com should do a current audit of ALL properties that state they are pet friendly to see if they still are actually pet friendly???
