Good value for money and convenient location- staff are a highlight!
Pros:

The staff were incredibly helpful and nice! I stayed a few days at a time over a few weeks and had no issues, rooms large enough for me with plenty of natural light. Bathroom was very nice in all rooms and the beds were very comfy for me. Check in and check out were straightforward and efficient. Rooms were cleaned well! Nice location for me, easy to walk to supermarkets or town. Bus stop outside the town hall nearby also very convenient.
I didn’t try the breakfast.

Cons:

In an ideal world heat controls in the room would be nice but I wonder that this might not be feasible in this building? Doors were a little loud as they slam if you’re not careful with them!

Pros:

The guy who checked me in was really professional and polite. Unfortunately his name escapes me.
The single bed at first glance looks awful but it's actually super comfy.

Cons:

All grand.

Pros:

Always a good stay here. Clean, comfortable and at a great price

Cons:

They need to get themselves away from the "partner offer" option in the booking options. Even though I have contacted booking.com a couple of times to get my money back, they have failed to give me a full refund as they promised.

Great stay! Great staff!
Pros:

The staff are absolutely lovely and accommodating. The place is still undergoing renovations, but they try their best to limit noise and keep the place as clean as they can. Breakfast is usually included and there is a bar always open downstairs for guests. The rooms are basic, but great for the price.

Cons:

There isn't much I didn't like. I am aware the place is under renovations. They let you know this, so I can't hold them accountable for any noise or a bit of mess.

Very Disappointing Stay
Pros:

It was free parking in front of the hotel.

Cons:

I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you have other options.

The room we stayed in was extremely small, and the bed was also much smaller than expected. There was no air conditioning, and the room was unbearably hot, making it almost impossible to sleep.

Cleanliness was another major issue. There was dust everywhere, especially on the bathroom extractor fan and the radiators. The carpet in both the room and the hallways was very dirty, and there was a mouldy smell throughout the hotel.

The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, but this was not mentioned in the booking description. We only found out after making our reservation. Because of the refurbishment, the restaurant was closed, and only breakfast was available.

Overall, the hotel feels very old and poorly maintained. Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was more than expected.
Pros:

I could not fault the friendliness of the staff, nothing was too much trouble. Despite booking.com sending an email explaining the bar was not open, it was, with guest discount and 24 hours for residents. The message also stated there was no parking, again there was, on a first come first served basis, located next to the hotel. The hotel was clean, with the option of requesting ironing boards/irons/hairdryers for a minimal deposit. Breakfast was a delight. I would definitely recommend and will be staying again.
