Zentral gelegenes Hotel für Erkundung Kyotos
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt sehr gut um Kyoto zu erkunden. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Personal freundlich und hilfreich.

Der Innenbereich des Spa war sehr gut.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war für meinen Geschmack zu dunkel.

Es ist zwar eine Nichtraucherunterkunft, doch der Raucherbereich ist so schlecht wie bisher in noch keinem anderen Hotel auf der Reise isoliert. Leider hat das meine Erholung beeinträchtigt.
1. Die Waschmaschine sind direkt neben dem Raucherraum. Der Geruch ist dort sehr intensiv, sodass es auch auf meiner frischen Wäsche bereits leicht nach Rauch roch.
2. Das Spa befindet sich direkt oberhalb. Ich konnte nicht den Aussenbereich geniessen, weil es nach Rauch roch.

Disappointing stay, unresponsive staff, room not clear and in poor conditions.
Pros:

Location is very good and central.

Cons:

The room was not clean and with a lot of wear and tear. I had asked the staff to get it cleaned but it did not happen for my entire stay. Truly disappointing, also considering the price paid.

Pros:

We loved the rustic vibe, close enough to walk to gion .easy access to Kyoto Station and other sites. The staff were fabulous and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Cons:

Only gripe was lack of a full bar. The self service was fine.for a glass of wine, but a full bar would have been great.

Pros:

Great hotel for that Japanese feel, lovely spacious room , the onsen was great so relaxing

Cons:

They didn't have a bar or good drink selection. The lights near the sink would not turn off so they were on all night which was a little annoying.

Pros:

Our second stay at this hotel and it always feels so comfortable to stay in Candeo. We choose it especially for the spa, much enjoyable after a long day with lots of walking.

After visiting Tokyo, this was a really nice change of pace. Easy to commute around the city!
Pros:

Convenient location and the hospitality was a mix of traditional and modern which we really enjoyed

Cons:

The breakfeast options were limited but not a deal breaker.

A lovely communal area in traditional style, yet with western bedrooms, handily located for the typical tourists needs
Pros:

Handy for visiting most areas of Kyoto. In a quiet but nice area with walking access to good restaurants and the main bar/food areas, as well as bus/subway links to tourist spots

Cons:

Breakfast was interesting, and beautifully presented, but not what we’d choose to eat (either the Japanese or western options). Also lack of coffee in the rooms, and only 2 was machines, so always busy.
