Location was excellent with access to restaurants, izakayas and bakeries on the doorstep. The hotel is fronted by a really cool historic building which has the breakfast, bar and lounge in it.
This would have scored so much higher but our bed was solid and uncomfortable. A mattress topper would turn it around. I didn’t enquire but the hotel maybe able to accommodate something like this if asked.
Super clean, great location, loved the spa and room.
Staff seemed a bit cold at times. When we checked in we weren't told where the room was.
Location, spa, interior. Room is quite small but arranged very well so doesn’t feel small.
Candeo hotels offer great value for money.
Breakfast (especially the Western option) could be improved - cold omelette and sausage aren’t too appetising.
Room overlooked neighbouring buildings.
The onsen. Was great to relax after a long day particularly, if like me, you have a few tattoos. It was empty almost every time which made it easier for me to pop in and not offend anyone.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut gelegen, wenige Minuten von der Bahnstation entfernt.
Der Eingangsbereich mit dem traditionellen japanischen Haus ist sehr schön angelegt.
Unser Zimmer war für japanische Verhältnisse sehr großzügig geschnitten.
Das Hotel verfügt über einen Spa Bereich der schön angelegt ist.
Frühstück haben wir nicht genutzt in der Umgebung gab es aber genügend Frühstückskaffee.
Aktuell (Mai/Juni 2026) ist auf dem Nachbargrundstück eine Baustelle. Diese hat man aber nur tagsüber gehört und bei uns auf Grund eines Taifuns wurde mehrere Tage nicht gearbeitet.
Auf dem Teppichboden waren tw fremde Haare.

The bathroom facilities were great. Water pressure good and temp great. The mirror is too small. Water bottles were provided daily. Great location
The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. There is no sitting area if you have a 3rd person staying with you. No drawers for clothes. Very cramped to even walk around in.
The room was clean and it was good access.
The staff were not as helpful as other hotels in Japan.
Great hotel overall. Nice enough sized room for Japan, really nice onsen, helpful staff, clean, cool common space, and good location.
Bed was very firm.
The Japanese-style breakfast area and the library are a great experience for a visit to Japan. Right in front of the best pastry in town for a great breakfast option. Pretty clean ammenities.
No storage cabinet for clothes, so the room gets a little bit messy with your suitcases on the floor. The bed is quite big for a comfortable sleep, but it would be better if it were smaller to give space for a closet.
