The front desk staff was friendly on the day of check-in and, afterwards, tried to resolve our requests quickly.
We stayed 10 days and I’m shocked by the housekeeping standards.
I unexpectedly entered the room during cleaning and saw the housekeeper touching my toothbrushes, hair ties, body brush and skincare products in the bathroom with the same bare hands used to clean the toilet and the floor. I had explicitly asked not to touch/clean the bathroom daily, but my personal hygiene items were still being picked up and rearranged.
On day 10 I also saw my shoes being used to prop open the window. I have expensive belongings, and this is completely unacceptable. I only discovered it on day 10, so I don’t know if this was happening every day.
Despite daily “cleaning”, basic details were ignored – for example, the phone by the bed was never wiped and was covered in dust.
Earlier, a very expensive small travel-size cream tube went “missing” after cleaning; I found it days later under the sink, apparently knocked down during housekeeping.
As a company owner who travels frequently with my team and spends significant budgets on hotels every year, this experience is far below any acceptable professional standard. We will not choose this hotel again, and it seriously affects our decision to stay with this brand/network in the future.
