The staff did not communicate well about certain issues.
You cannot access an iron in the hotel because they want you to pay for laundry services( the staff took me around in circles instead of just being honest about it). A big inconvenience that you the customer has to pay for.
The communication from the kitchen staff is abysmal.
The rooms are small but exactly like the pictures.
The ventilation in the room was horrible, it made the bed and everything in the room moist.

Avoid Lilygate Hotel — Terrible Service, Unprofessional Staff
I cannot recommend Lilygate Hotel under any circumstances. They ruined our Christmas. My family and I booked two nights via Booking.com and arrived around 11 PM after a long flight, travelling with a six-year-old, my mother (over 60), and my sister.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was shocking:
The manager on duty was dismissive, uncooperative, and clearly trying to hustle extra money from us. He claimed we had only booked one room for over £500 with only one breakfast, despite our evidence showing we had booked two rooms with breakfast included for four people.
He attempted to recalculate our payment in Naira and add extra breakfast charges, citing exchange rate changes — completely inappropriate when the price had already been confirmed online.
We were unable to access our rooms until 2 AM, after hours of back-and-forth and confusion. My six-year-old was hungry and exhausted, and no assistance or accommodations were offered.
Breakfast, which was included in our booking, was initially denied.
The mismanagement and unprofessionalism completely ruined the start of our holiday. We decided not to extend our stay, and if it weren’t for the next hotel we went to, our trip to Nigeria would have left a very negative impression.
Lilygate Hotel treats paying guests poorly, and the manager on duty seemed more interested in extracting money than providing service. We were told we could speak to management the next day, but they were not there apparently. This is not how a high-class hotel should behave. We would never recommend Lilygate to anyone, and anyone considering staying there should look elsewhere.
We have complained to management in writing and hope they will take the complaint seriously. We will return to update the review further when we receive a reply.

Staff been truthful no complementary breakfast telling me I booked online,payed more than guest that came in person , room was small buffet breakfast suck… I had to go to the nxt hotel to eat breakfast ( Albergo) staff didn’t look happy

I am disappointed I stayed last week and this weekend. The service was basic and when I was checking out they required me to pay 20000. This was not part of the agreement.
The staff gathered around to say their staff was wrong but I must pay. The argument went on for 15 minutes after the manager came and yet the insisted on me paying.
It was sad because I called and I spoke to the particular staff MRS UJUWA before I came by and I was there the weekend before.
They just distasteful and money hungry and using God to buttress their fault. They kept telling me how staff will suffer and I told them everything is not money. My mum is in the hospital and I have a double slipped disc and I lost a child. They made me feel guilty and told me it is nothing for me .
I am not going there anytime soon and the whole wolves attack should not be tolerated for a big establishment.

The food is the same type of breakfast always, the bedding need bleaching not grey like colour together with the towels. The drainage of water after showering should not be at the same lever with the whole entire floor, it should be lower that the whole sufface to allow the water to drain properly straight from your body. Again I shouldnt be asking for a new towel on daily basis and a role of tissue. These things should just be replaced automatically. Clean towels should be left after cleaning the room regardles.

The breakfast was okay but it was a bit confusing how much it cost if you don’t book it with your room.

Also, we were called downstairs to say our breakfast was complimentary as well but when we got there we were told it wasn’t. Wasn’t a great experience in that aspect at all.

Lastly, it’s got central cooling systems which didn’t get as cool as I know split air conditioners to get which was disappointing.
