The best place to stay in Oslo - convenient to landmarks plus walkable to Vulkan and Grunerlokka.
Pros:

My two favorite things were 1) the wonderful, kind staff. Always with a smile on their faces, no request was too much, no question too trivial, they truly were the epitome of what a hotel staff should be. We travel a lot and this warm treatment is not common anymore. 2) the breakfast buffet is just as everyone describes - such a wide array of dishes. I prefer to eat whatever they eat in Norway like lox, crispbreads, veggies, while my partner loves the traditional American dishes like eggs and bacon. We were both very satisified. We even had dinner there one night and he loved his dinner and thought it was exceptional. I can't recommend this hotel enough!

Cons:

I got hot during the night, it was hard for my body to regulate to the fluffy comforters. In this case, I think that's on me and my menopause.

The hotel had easy access to sights and restaurants and the staff were helpful and friendly.
Pros:

The breakfast was outstanding. Peter was extremely helpful and even had prepared for us a surprise bagged breakfast for our very early departure.

Cons:

The room was noisy and the bed was uncomfortable.
