Avoid this hotel at all costs!
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I stayed on the third floor facing the street, and the noise from the surrounding pubs was absolutely unbearable. People were shouting, singing, and making noise until 4:00 a.m. Sleeping was simply impossible.
What made the experience even worse was the hotel's response. When I complained at reception, instead of apologizing or offering to move me to a quieter room, they actually had the nerve to offer me earplugs. That is completely unacceptable. If you know some rooms are exposed to this level of noise, you should either warn guests in advance or proactively offer a room change.
A good night's sleep is the most basic expectation from a hotel, and this property failed miserably. The lack of concern from the staff only added to the disappointment.
If you value your sleep, avoid this hotel. There are plenty of other hotels in Oslo where you won't spend the entire night listening to drunken crowds outside your window.
