Very Pleasant
Pros:

Mr. Shabir Ahmad Dar (the host) is a kind and welcoming gentleman. The guesthouse is actually a lovely homestay, located at a walkable distance away from the bustle of the Tangmarg Taxi/Bus stand. The locale is resoundingly quiet with the characteristic of a typical kashmiri rustic neighbourhood. The street is dotted with tiny shops serving local bread and produce. Stepping off the street across the gate, you step into a well manicured garden. The property has a cute lawn with a fruit & vegetable garden adjoining the house and a conduit of fresh mountain stream flowing through it. The foyer cum rooms were upstairs and had a traditional Kashmiri decor. We found everything well furnished with all the requisite amenities and included clean rooms, sheets and towels. Delicious homecooked dinner was served to us, which we were really looking forward to and thankful for. We would confidently recommend this nice guesthouse to touring families/solo travellers for the convenience and traditional experience it offers within a reasonable budget. Our stay was pleasant and our decision to stay here was far better than halting at Gulmarg. Our best wishes to the affable host and his family.

Pros:

Warm and Welcoming Stay
Pros:

The stay at Elizabeth Guest House was exceptional. The owner Shabbir Sir and Danish, were incredibly hospitable. The clean rooms and separate heater were perfect for the winter. The late-night dinner and tour to Gulmarg were highlights. Highly recommended for a warm and welcoming stay in Tangmarg.
