Pros:

Freundliches Personal. Die Zimmer sind vor nicht langer Zeit renoviert worden, es wird zur Zeit auch noch renoviert. Gäste werden dadurch aber nicht gestört.

Cons:

Das Zimmer ist sehr klein, in der Beschreibung werden 30qm angegeben. Es sind eher 12qm.

Would not come there for another stay
Pros:

Location was very close to the Beach front , about 10 mins walk to the Pier and the restaurants .

Cons:

The room with the sea view but very small and claustrophobic. There was not pleasant smell inside also which wanted us to just drop things then leave . The bathroom was ok newly installed but hot and very and small , the smallest double room oh we stayed it

Stressful because of the Fire Eacape facilities ( there were none)

I am very concerned how Booking.com advertises this property. We were on the top floor (4 flights of stairs). There is no Fire Escape in this property , there are Fire Escape signage but you actually have to run down the 4 flights of stairs and out of the front door . If there was a fire on the ground floor everyone would be trapped.
I am considering contacting Tendring Fire Dept about this , it is not acceptable

Lovely Location for a get away
Pros:

Location was great, a ten min walk to the pier. A great locals pub across the bowling green, and easy to park.

Cons:

The two things that i would recommend - softer pillows as they are rock hard and black out blinds as the sun was up at 4am, as were we.

Pros:

Friendly welcome, escorted to room and everything explained very well. Room was clean and well appointed.

Cons:

As I'd booked the last room available on the day, I ended up on the top floor and stairs can be hard work on my knees.

Pros:

It was very clean and decorated beautifully. The fan in the light which was remote controlled was a nice touch. The owner was very helpful with carrying our case up and down the stairs. He was really friendly. It felt like home from home. The whole property was clean and tidy. It was nice that there was a fridge toaster and microwave in the room.

Cons:

The mattress and pillows were too hard for me. I know some people like them like that. We would stay there again though.

Brilliant
Pros:

The property was in an excellent location for a short walk to the theatres and the town centre. It is also a short walk to the beach. We could see the sea from our balcony. The property was spotless and a lot of thought had gone into the decor and facilities for the guests. We would stay again and would highly recommend. The parking is excellent too.

Clean and good host. No major issues.
Pros:

No issues with cleanliness and facilities on the whole. Good location and it was quiet.

Cons:

The only problem was the springs in the mattress had gone on my side (window side) so I had to put a cushion under it to stop me rolling out.
