S'il avait fait beau : l'emplacement qui est magnifique avec des randonnées qui partent de l'hôtel. Les infrastructures (la maison principale avec ses divers petits salons, la salle de billard...). Le petit déjeuner avec de très bonnes crêpes maison.
Le Lodge est grand mais...

Tout d'abord je voulais dire qu'il est très rare que je mette un avis négatif sur un hôtel alors que nous n'y avons passé qu'une seule nuit mais je pense qu'il est important de faire remonter les informations que je n'ai vu nulle part dans les avis postés. Nous logions donc dans le Lodge, il y avait une simple bruine dehors, ce qui, dans cette région, est plutôt normal... La toiture est en tôle, surplombée d'un arbre assez imposant. La condensation de la bruine sur les feuilles crée de la pluie et celle-ci se déverse sur la toiture dans un bruit amplifié par la tôle à un point qu'on ne peut pas imaginer. Bref, dans ces conditions, impossible de dormir. J'en suis même venue à télécharger une application pour calculer les décibels et le résultat est sans appel (voir photo ci-dessous). Nous aurions été plus au calme dans la voiture mais pas à 4. Le matin nous en avons fait part à la réception qui nous a dit texto "C'est la nature, c'est comme ça !" Pas une excuse, pas un geste commercial. Je ne pense pas que ce soit la nature qui a mis un toit de tôle sous un vieil arbre pour une chambre d'hôtel à 350€/nuit et pour le coup ne pas dormir ;) Attention, si vous souhaitez y rester plusieurs jours, les accessoires de cuisine sont quasi inexistant et ceux présents ont eu la vie dure. La salle de bain est très vieillotte et pas impeccable. Je ne doute pas que par temps sec le logement soit agréable ainsi que les autres chambres proposés mais dorénavant vous êtes prévenus.

Lovely stay in a nice cozy place

Quiet location with amazing surroundings, super nice staff and you can have a drink around the fireplace
The food at the restaurant was really good too

….es war überall so kalt dort. Im Zimmer nur ein Heuzlüfter. Der machte aber nur so überschlagen.
Sonst in den Räumen Miniöfen.
Aber man fror. Trotz vieler Klamotten.
Das war sehr schade.

Great place to stay, staff is very attentive, and the ambiance is very cozy.
Pros:

Even though the breakfast is included in the rate, we didn't eat it as the options are only eggs and waffles. For the standard of the place the breakfast should be a lot better. There are several places around the area with cheap and great Costa Rican breakfast therefore the hotel should raise the bar

In general, the food is just average, The menu is limited and the quality can be a lot better. This definetly is the weakness of the lodge

Beautiful design and location, with lovely hiking trails. Charming room. Very good breakfast and nice restaurant, great pool table.

Cons:

It was very cold, especially on the first night when it was windy. I read that there are fireplaces, but there are actually these small stoves that you can't really get warm with. There are electric blankets in the room, but in our opinion it shouldn't be so cold, especially for this price. Bring very warm clothes!
