Dambulla Kings Inn

I had a really positive stay at Dambulla Kings Inn and would highly recommend it especially for solo travellers.

From the moment I arrived Mr. Chaluka and his wife are incredibly kind and attentive. He was always smiling and full of positive energy. My flight arrived very early in the morning after multiple delays and they were more than happy to accommodate me with an early check in which made such a difference after a long journey.

Throughout my stay they were always available and genuinely cared about making sure I had everything I needed. Anything I asked for was sorted straight away and they were consistently warm welcoming and thoughtful. The area is very peaceful and surrounded by a nice garden. The room is also very clean including the bathroom.

Breakfast was always on time and lovely each morning which added to how smooth and easy my stay felt.

As a solo traveller I felt very safe here which is something I really value. They created a comfortable environment where I could fully relax. The location is also amazing- close to the key sites such as Sigiriya and Dambulla Cave Temple.

They also recommended a tuk tuk driver called Bandara and he was honestly amazing. I highly recommend going on a tour with him. He always said “this is your day today” and truly meant it. He never rushed me and was happy to adapt the day based on what I wanted to do. He waited patiently at each stop and made the whole experience feel easy and special. He genuinely cares about your experience and goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy every moment. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and wants you to have a memorable time rather than just rushing through places. He is kind patient and very trustworthy and I would strongly recommend booking a tour with him if you stay here. He takes you to the best spots and has the best itinerary ideas including cooking class! Highly recommend seeing Dambulla city with him. Very trustworthy man.

Immaculately clean, big space, new bathroom with very good shower. Green, shadowy location, makes it cool even in hot weather. The hosts are very welcomjng and smiley. Very recommended accomodation.

Wonderful quiet garden, nice staff, homemade meal. Not far from the rock paintings.

Lovely couple running this hotel. Helped with everything we needed: trips to do, bringing to the massage salon, repairing broken shoes and boiling water so we could make coffee. Good WiFi

​Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in diesem Hotel. Die beiden Gastgeber sind zwei unglaublich sympathische und hilfsbereite Menschen, bei denen man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Ein riesiges Lob an sie: Sie hat uns das beste Omelett der Welt gezaubert – ein echtes kulinarisches Highlight! Er hat sich währenddessen perfekt um alles Organisatorische gekümmert, inklusive der Planung unserer Touren.
​Auch unser Guide war einfach nur cool, super nett und hat den Ausflug unvergesslich gemacht. Die Zimmer waren zudem sehr sauber. Wir können dieses Hotel und das gesamte Team nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen! Vielen Dank für alles.🙏🏼

Madhu and Chamuka are an incredible family. They helped me with everything, and the house is extremely comfortable and clean. The room has a private bathroom, and the breakfast is excellent. I cannot recommend it enough if you come to Dambulla. On my last day, Chamuka even picked me up and took me to the bus station.

Nuestra experiencia en el alojamiento fue excelente. La habitación estaba impecablemente limpia y la cama resultó muy cómoda, lo que garantizó un buen descanso. El personal destacó por su atención y amabilidad, siempre dispuestos a ayudar y con el gran detalle de permitirnos el acceso antes del horario establecido. La gastronomía fue otro de los puntos fuertes, con platos de gran calidad y sabor. Además, nos facilitaron los desplazamientos, lo que hizo la estancia aún más cómoda. En resumen, un alojamiento altamente recomendable por la calidad del servicio y la hospitalidad recibida.

La pareja fue super amable y la comida estaba muy buena! Nos encantó el lugar. Tiene un jardín precioso con muchas plantas. Es silencioso y relajante. El baño estaba super bien y todo super limpio

Chambre spacieuse et très propre. Le personnel est adorable. L'extérieur est très mignon et il est possible de se faire servir le dîner. Tout était parfait.

A calm and peaceful property close to the city—truly feels like a second home. Whenever I come to Dambulla, I always choose to stay here. The host is very friendly, and the rooms are spotless.
