The staff for the most part were nice
The cleanliness and the pool isn’t something I would go in, pictures aren’t really the same
The location and surroundings of this Resort is truly gorgeous - located next to a river in the middle of the jungle, the soundscape of nature is just incredible. The bungalow was great - I love the idea to have 3 glass fronts to have a complete view of the jungle, that you can close with completely opaque curtains.
I loved the closeness to nature, I loved all the insects and animals around, all the sounds. It was just amazing. And to all the comments that point this out as a negative -> you booked a JUNGLE bungalow, what do you expect? Of course there will be animals, especially insects everywhere.
I have to point out the staff as well - I stayed over Nyepi and the staff kept the kitchen running for the guests. I would have been fine with only the breakfast (as part of the rate); I was actually sorry for the staff to spend Nyepi cooking for others. So thank you very much.
Now to the reason, why I only gave 8 stars.
The place is a bit run down. Maybe it is because it is still low season and they might get everything back to shiny and nice for main season, but anyway. For this kind of money that it normally costs (I got quite a special booking rate, otherwise I most likely wouldn't have taken it), you would expect a better state. Don't get me wrong, the bungalow itself was amazing, clean and everything worked great. But the common areas were not well maintained - algae in the ponds, the spa area was abandoned and obviously not in use since quite a long time, the sunbeds at the pool were dirty and so on. The restaurant and food options are ok, but also I would expect a bit more in this price category.

Service is terrible. Ive been trying to contact them by all means ( via booking call or email ) but no answer throughout the whole day. I didnt know if I would have a room as a arrive for a late check in

The expierence of being in the middle of the jungle is cool. We booked the room with the private pool and was nice.
The hotel is located deep in the jungle, so it’s important to prepare in advance as getting in and out is not easy. The entrance is very steep and can take time to navigate, especially for those with mobility issues, and many of the steps are quite slippery. Our room also had a fridge that didn’t work, which made things less convenient, leaving us with little choice but to dine on site where the menu was also quite limited same as breakfast.

Alles! Diese Unterkunft ist der Hammer. Mitten im Dschungel, an einem Fluss gelegen. Man schläft mit dem Rauschen des Wasserfalls ein. Gemeinschaftspool vorhanden. Ari hat uns zu diversen Ausflügen begleitet und hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt z.B. Stopp an einem Abendmarkt, Sarong Geschäft. Wayhan war unser Fahrer und hat uns sicher gefahren. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Hier kann man durchaus auch eine Woche entspannen. Es war herrlich.

We had the Top Bungalow...Best view to wake up to. The pool was amazing, cold and refreshing. Even the walk down to the river was just awesome, so beautiful to be in the middle of the jungle. Water was again cool amd refreshing.
Breakfast was tasty and staff helpful to make my meal Gluten Free. Thankyou 🌞
The room needed a good clean.
The place was in a great location albeit quite remote and the journey in and out of the property was extremely perilous. The staff were very helpful and it is a great location for a short stay as long as you’re quite fit and are travelling lightly!
The bathroom facilities were acceptable but getting to it was frought with danger as you could either use a very steep and narrow set of wooden stairs or slippery stone path which in the rain was somewhat dangerous.
Lovely staff, interesting, quirky setting in the jungle. I asked for an upgrade to my room and was given it with no extra cost.
One of us was in a standard room. There was a large rat running around in there, rummaging in their bags most nights. Bathrooms down slippery steps outside the room and the whole hotel is full of very steep steps, covered in moss and slippery when wet. 3 out of 5 nights cold shower, rooms dirty, toilet didn’t flush properly, no nets on windows, rooms very dirty. Cockroaches in room, even in deluxe room. Menu was terrible.

We booked the basic rooms and arrived to find the bathrooms were downstairs via external stairs which were more like ladders than stairs. Not great for the middle of the night toilet trips. We quickly asked for upgraded rooms and we were offered much nicer villas for not a great deal more money. Otherwise we would have found somewhere else to stay.
Lukewarm hot water. Smelly toilets.
