We live in the village, it was our daughters prom and it was such a busy day, they was accommodating with us coming in early, dinner no problem and breakfast on the hottest day ever still spot on x

Lovely room with modern decor - good value
Pros:

Very clean room. Lovely shower room (non-slip) and toiletries. Ample parking. Ceiling fan welcome in hot weather. Rooms on ground floor in separate annexe to main pub/restaurant.
Excellent breakfast cooked to order.

Last stop on European road trip after ferry to UK
Pros:

Young team of staff very welcoming
Good size room

Cons:

It’s in Great Bromley not Colchester
Bed mattress worn out , can feel the springs- needs replacing ( room 8 )

Pros:

Nice hotel in beautiful old building, althought the rooms were in an annex. Great for a night while travelling in the UK. Staff was very friendly and welcoming! Although we were too late for dinner (due to delay of the ferry), we could get something to eat.

Pros:

Everything you would expect from budget accommodation (in a good way). All the basics were there, everything worked, it was clean and the staff were friendly.

Cons:

Lighting was harsh. Warmer LED lamps would have made the room more inviting when the sun was down.

Prima verblijf om de ferry te halen.
Pros:

Lekker gegeten, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel: we moesten vroeg uitchecken en de avond van te voren hebben we een paar flesjes drinken gehad en kregen we verse "pastry's" in een bewaarverpakking die erg lekker waren. De koffie op de kamer was best te drinken, dus alles ok.

Het matras viel een beetje tegen.
