One of my favourite places on my whole 5 week trip! So worth visiting Delft to relax into island life, enjoy the atmosphere and escape the hustle & bustle of the towns. I booked 1 night but stayed for 3, even though I wish I could have stayed longer. The accommodation was comfortable, with loads of hammocks and chill spots and a really nice vibe that brings people together whoever comes through. A reflection of Tommys humble & generous spirit who works so hard & the team to make everyone feel welcome! Huge respect for them and how they have built this place piece by piece and their mission to keep it authentic, supporting locals and giving travellers a place to slow down! I borrowed a bike and cycled around the island, we tried net fishing with a BBQ on the beach, we did yoga on the platform and chatted endlessly under the palms and stars! The food was absolutely delicious and I wish Delft village stay all the blessings in the world to thrive!

After 2 months travelling around Sri Lanka our stay here was the best! If you like Camping athmosphare and meeting other travellers this is the one and only place not to miss in Sri Lanka.

A lovely relaxing place where alot of attention and detail has gone into making this the perfect chillout stay whilst still keeping the rustic charm.
Tommy and the staff are such lovely and welcoming people and are always ready to help and make your stay the best experience. Had some of the best food here too.

For me there was nothing I disliked.

Great place to chill and explore Delft Islabd from. Owner Tommy really helpful.
Pros:

Really relaxed , rustic ( outdoor showers great), really helpful staff /owner. Good location. Bikes available. Freshly cooked local food. Good vibe.

Cons:

Power cuts daily ( across island not the properties fault and they do have a back up generator). Take a head touch or charge phone when power on.

Pros:

As soon as we arrived to delft village stay we decided to extend our stay with another day.
The camp has an relaxing feeling that makes the time stand still. The host Tommy and everyone at the stay is friendly and helpfull. The people make the camp feel like a home.
Everything you need to see the island is provided by the camp, and the food at the camp is increadiable.
Its a true 5 out of 5 experience to stay here, we are so happy this was our last stay during out trip through Sri Lanka.

Tout était extraordinaire, nous étions venues pour 1 nuit et avons finalement prolongé
Tommy est un hôte parfait, les repas sont excellents, l'île est un petit bout de paradis comme hors du temps, la plage magnifique et déserte

Pros:

Es war ein Highlight unserer Sri Lanka Reise. Tommy der Inhaber ist super nett und hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben unseren Aufenthalt so schön wie möglich zu gestalten. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren sehr lecker. Man sieht dass die Unterkunft mit Liebe eingerichtet wurde. Wir hatten ein super entspanntes Inselleben abseits der üblichen Touristen Routen.
