All in all, I had the best stay ever at Mayfair Hotel Maitama and I will definitely recommend.
Pros:

I really enjoyed the breakfast and other meals I had at this hotel. There were different choices of food on the menu and I almost wanted to taste everything. My favourite was the Jollof Rice. If nothing at all, the food, the hotel location and the level of security in place will definitely bring me back here.

Cons:

This hotel ticks all the boxes for me. I can't ask for more.

The hotel did not fully meet my expectation. I definitely won't lodge there again.

The courtesy of the staff and the security of the environment.

Cons:

The breakfast was too disappointing! I stayed with my wife, but the hotel provided a complimentary breakfast for one person and demanded that I pay for the extra breakfast.

The meals are expensive.

Cons:

Payment system is BAD. They do not accept dollars lower than 100 so you can pay 75 dollar in cash.

There conversion rate for booking.com customers is 15%higher.

Even I paid in dollar and asked for balance in NIRA they charge me 15 percent extra. They said they can’t balance in dollars.


Disappointed by the system.

REALLY NICE
Pros:

I basically liked everything from the staff to the rooms and amenities. But the rooms downstairs are not as private. You can hear people outside and sometimes you wonder if they can hear and see you as well. Maybe curtains would do the job.

Cons:

Privacy is an absolute necessity. Curtains in the room would do that job. And better isolation.
