La ubicación es lo mejor, en plena Puerta del Sol, cerca de todo. La habitación con baño privado y bastante amplia.
Me hubiese gustado que hubiese un ventilador en la habitación.
This place was exceptional. The room was spotless, with ample storage for all your belongings and excellent air conditioning. Our room had two windows and a skylight to let in light and fresh air. I found the desk and chair a lovely touch, which would be useful if on a business trip.
The dining and kitchen areas were clean and well-kept. Everyone had their own section of the fridge, which was great. Lots of cutlery and crockery to share among other guests. A washing machine can be found in the kitchen, which would be very helpful for longer trips.

Low ceilings. Accessible entry
The shared spaces were excellent.
Our room had a slanted ceiling but it was fine.
The location was perfect
The room was really clean and comfortable to stay in. It was nice to have our own bathroom. Besides that was the living room great, combined with a nice rooftop.
The ceilings of the room weren’t really high, so we had to keep that in mind. But it wasn’t that big of an issue for us.
Location was amazing, right outside of Playa Mayor. Kitchen was nice with free coffee and all the necessary cooking items. Felt very safe in the building with 3 separate doors that locked. Alina, the host, was wonderful and accommodating and responded to my messages quickly!
THE CEILINGS ARE SO LOW. Both my mother and I are very tall and could barely stand up straight in the room. We both have arthritis and back issues so this made the stay quite unfortunate. We hit our heads multiple times, back ached throughout just trying to get to our beds/suitcases/move around. WARNING: Do not book this if you are tall or have back issues.
There was a small ledge going to the bathroom that we kept tripping on. The bathroom also smelled musty and moldy. It was a bit loud at night, but on the 5th floor it was manageable.
Great location, we loved exploring the area. The kitchen and living areas where clean and comfortable. Our host was very helpful in finding the location and explaining keys, and other rules for us.
For older folks the low ceilings can be hazardous. We are both under 6 feet tall and constantly had to be aware of ourselves to keep from hitting our heads. This took away from an otherwise good value rental. The beams are interesting to look at, but hard!
Elina, our host, was potentially the loveliest, and most patient, considering the language barrier, host we have ever had. She was so sweet and genuinely caring and had a great attitude and response to any concern we had. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Sol. The terrace is lovely, the shared spaces are homely and everything was fantastically clean. Our host Elina responded promptly and happily, day or night and even on our day off, going the extra mile by far. I have been to much more expensive places with far worse customer service than this stay. I was exceptionally happy with our little trip.
My only grumble is the stated air conditioning was for the other rooms and the shared room, not for the room we booked. Granted, when raised, our host Elina was kind enough to go out of her way and bring us a cooling solution on her day off which we are so thankful for. Were this clearer, I would happily stay again in another room.
No airconditioning in our room
Location Sol. Metro and other attractions walking distance. Prado, Palace, El Rastro all walking distance
A very difficult check in. Unable to contact anyone on arrival. No buzzer to alert arrival. Let in by strangers but still nobody to be found. Sought help from neighbour hotel for wifi. Half an hour of unnecessary mucking around.’
The room had a separate bathroom… I’m tall and the ceiling beams way too low. Hit my head a number of times… really annoying.
I liked the common areas such as the living room and the rooftop patio. I also liked having our own bathroom in our room. We loved the location!
We didn't like how low the ceilings were in our room, or the layout of the room. It was very hard to move around and we hit our heads multiple times. The shower was also very very tiny. Also, at one point one of the staff members emptied our section of the fridge and threw out our water bottles. We assumed they must have thought we were moving out but we still had a few days left, so that was strange.
The location is fantastic
The flat is difficult to access, the ceiling in the bedroom is terribly low, I kept banging my head on the ceiling and in the end I ended up with a backache and a headache.
The location was amazing, the apartment was lovely with the terrace and the roof. I’d definitely recommend this place
It is located near metro.
The owner is not honest about the address of the property. In Booking.com website, it lists at 14 Calle del Arenal which is a Starbucks. I arrived there before 7:00pm and had hard time to locate the property. I had to ask a Spanish speaking person to call the owner three times. Finally, owner gave the address was 18 Calle del Arenal. It took us 1 hour 10 min to find the property. Then the owner asked me to pay 30 euros for late check-in fee.
Best stay for the money, in central Madrid. Location, location....close to everything. This is a nicely converted apartment with a kitchen and some rooms have a shared bathroom. Check your actual listing. Very sloped ceiling ....tall people might have issues, as we did, but got over it quickly.
The sloped ceiling makes the usable spaces very small. Good for sleeping, not for hanging around. There is a common area, TV room, where you can freely walk.
