A slice of paradise
Pros:

My hosts, Octavio and Yolanda were just the best; kind, friendly, and out to make my trip the best possible experience. My room was a cabana down the hill from the street so it was very private and very quiet. (If you book the cheapest option, those cabanas are abutting the busy road, so you will get vehicle noise.) I had a balcony with beautiful views (see photos) and a futon which I could sit at and watch the many birds that visit the property. The room had plenty of lighting and expansive windows. Octavio was willing to bring me to places that were of interest (at a much reduced cost than a taxi). I was there for the birding and they took me to La Vida de Kinde for that; also to a ranch to hike a waterfall and provided me with many options for my own hiking and birding. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruits and eggs. Other meals could be provided if you asked in advance. They operate a pizzeria and I had the Vege Pizza twice - delicious!

Cons:

Hikes done on my own from Green Bamboo required about a 1/3mile walk down the busy road. While this is quite common in Ecuador (to walk along a busy road), I was never comfortable doing such. There was nothing else to complain about; the hosts go out of their way to make your stay wonderful.

An amazing, peaceful gem on the outskirts of San Francisco de Borja, worth a few days of relaxation.
Pros:

I enjoyed everything about this lodge. The owners were exceptionally friendly and very helpful, providing me with many ideas of things to see and places to visit for birding in the area. Breakfast (not that I ate that often) was delicious & plentiful. Dinner (I had a couple of nights) was delicious. The owners were always in contact if they had questions or if I had questions were ready to answer.

Cons:

The only thing that was challenging was the proximity to the road. It did get a little loud with large trucks going by, but I was still able to sleep comfortably.

Pros:

The Lodge is in a lovely location in Ecuador with amazing views. The room I stayed in was a good size and the shower was nice and warm. Yolanda and her husband were very atentive and kind hosts.

Cons:

There was no curtain on my bathroom window and it was a bit tricky to pay with international CCs.

The best place in Napo - Ecuador
Pros:

An incredible place, lots of nature and tranquility, excellent location near rivers and waterfalls.

The staff was very kind to us. I will definitely return on my next vacation

Everything was perfect
