Belle chambre avec jardin
Pros:

Le quartier ne paie pas de mine mais l’établissement est vraiment beau à l’intérieur. Chambre donnant sur un tout petit jardin très mignon. Bonne base pour aller visiter le quartier des samouraïs.
Et le bais onsen chez soi c’est très agréable

Cons:

Le petit déjeuner est très cher et moyennement adapté aux goûts occidentaux. Nous le déconseillons surtout avec des enfants.

Pros:

Wir finden es toll, das neue Leben in diesem renovierten alten Haus. Gästezimmer, Café und Working Space. Schöne Zimmer mit Blick auf japanische Gärten. Ein angenehmer Aufenthalt, der Einblick in ein historisches Haus gibt.

Cons:

Wir waren etwas irritiert, an einem Frühstück mussten wir ein Getränk extra bezahlen weil nur eines inbegriffen ist. Das finden wir kleinlich. In der Dusche hat der Boden kein Gefälle, daher kann das Wasser nicht gut abfliessen.

Le personnel est d'une fabuleuse gentillesse, le petit pavillon qui était notre chambre avait un vrai charme.
Le petit déjeuner magnifique

Cons:

Juste un petit bémol à notre goût, la lumière du jour à travers les volets de papier.

また 行きたい宿と街並み
Pros:

家族４人（内子ども二人）でのびのび過ごしたかったので、セルフチェックイン、アウトで良かったです。部屋は大変広く、窓は大きく開放的で、くつろげる空間でした。お布団を一組追加してもらいましたが、ベッドと高さが２０cmくらいしか変わらず、広々休むことが出来ました。
部屋入口の小上がりスペースが非常に落ち着く空間で、個室カフェに来たような特別感を味わうことができました。
食事は、向かいのまどかさんで、席だけ予約しました。とても美味しく丁寧な接客をしていただきました。
次の機会があれば、食事付き宿泊にしたいと思いました。

Cons:

部屋に行くために、専用入口があるのは素敵なのですが、扉が狭く、旅行カバンを持って通るのに少し窮屈でした。
収納かと思い開けた扉が、飾り扉でした。木屑があったりしたので、目に触れず、開かないようにしてあるといいな、と思いました。
浴室は広く、温泉で、足を伸ばして入れてとても良かったですが、排水が追いつかず、床にぬめりが出て滑ったので、注意が必要でした。
お庭があり、水も流れているので、季節によっては、虫対策必須です。窓は開けずに室内に虫よけスプレーで快適に過ごしました。

Pros:

商店街の中というロケーションなので食事なしの予約でも特に不便には感じませんでした。24時間いつでも入れる足湯が近くにあるので、朝の散歩ついでに立ち寄り、島原らしい体験ができました。

Cons:

古民家ということでリビングは少し手狭に感じました。風呂場の排水がゆっくりだったので、シャワーで使ったお湯がしばらくそのまま溜まっていたのが気になりました。

I will miss the staff
Pros:

Staff-san is very kind. As Shimabara is a quiet town, many places closes by 5 or 6pm, I had to ask for dinner options. Staff also helped to call for reservations. I was heading to Kumamoto the following morning and asked for directions as I did not quite understand which bus to take, staff recommended that I should take train to the final stop instead and then use Kyusho Ferry because they provide shuttle bus from ferry terminal to Kumamoto train station.

Cons:

As this is a traditional Japanese style house, the heating uses modern equipment in the living area, and kerosene type in the room. Temperature will not be consistent if you are using this place during the winter period.

Hotel Mio was a great find, enjoyed the city sights.
Pros:

友達に紹介したいお宿
Pros:

設計士の凄腕を感じる古民家のお宿です。
湧水豊富で街中に金魚や錦鯉が泳いでいる(写真)。

Cons:

設計士の古民家ポリシー最高、接待して頂いた方最高でした。残念ながら清掃担当者もう少し頑張って下さい(9割以上は申し分無くとても綺麗ですよ)。

Everything about the property itself was superb. Loved it.

Cons:

The initial reception was superb. Thereafter the staff and contact seemed to disappear and breakfast seemed to be a problem. Small thing but a shame.

The room was so charming and spacious. The bathroom had been renovated with an amazing bath tub to soak in the natural spring water.
The staff were lovely and helpful.
The location was great - close to castle and koi street.
