Pulled my shoulder carrying our luggage. Would NEVER stay there again.

Stairs, no phone to connect for help, stark depressing room. Price for something that should have been luxury and was not. No coffee in room . No ice machine. Not as presented online!!!! Paid extra for Mountain View for special occasion/ hardly!!!!

Great experience staying at the Rathbone. We would definitely stay there again.
Pros:

the room was clean bright and modern. we really enjoyed the coffee bar. And the staff were very accomodating and friendly

Lovely hotel BUT ground floor rooms only OK if you don't mind no external windows at eye level.
Pros:

Location was very good and parking was easy.

Check-in was very easy and the decor in my room was pleasant. The historic building was attractive and the parlor bar had a good atmosphere.

The room was very quiet.

Cons:

No view at all from the ground floor room that I was allocated.
Only very high windows that Nobody including me would be able to see out of. This was the most significant disappointment. The shower was too complicated to operate and water from the shower was not contained and went on the bathroom floor.

Beautiful rooms and really nice central location in town. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons:

The room I booked on the website booking.com didn’t match the pictures when I arrived. The room it said I booked was actually an additional 40 dollars.

Loved the Rathbone hotel, peaceful, elegant contemporary accommodations in western Colorado.
Pros:

Loved the location down town Montrose. Like the contemporary design style and modern esthetics. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

No outlet to plug in charging cable

Very nice accommodation and friendly staff, walking distance to restaurants, all in all very please.
Pros:

The avocado toast was very good and generous.

Cons:

We couldn’t figure out how to get sound from the TV, not terribly important but a little frustrating.

I’m very disappointed that we found it in a search for dog friendly and I booked it without reading the property details
Pros:

We were not able to stay and did not see the property other than from the street

Cons:

I found it by searching for “dog friendly suite in montrose”. When we arrived we learned that there is no parking at the location and they do not allow dogs. It would have been too difficult for my 71 year old husband to carry luggage and walk dogs from several blocks away so we didn’t stay. Lost $200

Great stay in downtown Montrose, within walking distance of great restaurants.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown Montrose. A welcome diversion from the typical chain hotels. The Rathbone will be my first choice in Montrose moving forward.

Cons:

nothing, everything was better than expected.

Cons:

Nobody answers the phone past 11, stood outside for an hour waiting for keys, no follow up. Never checked in, they were sure happy to take my money even after reaching out and trying to resolve it offline.

Pros:

The hotel manager provided a very welcoming and an easy check in experience. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Really cool hotel and loved the overall room aesthetic.

Cons:

I was not a fan of the no-door shower. But that is a personal preference.
