The room was very spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast was not included, which seemed miserly when the room cost £125.00.
Location , parking, nice pub.
Booked via Booking.com
On their site it says breakfast provided
It isn't!!
No money back or vouchers for near by cafe offered
This needs to be better communicated to customers
As a result stay costly for what you get.
The room looked nice and it was in a good location. Also, it had a comfortable bed.
The shower head didn’t work due to not being cleaned. Overall the bathroom was not looked after. The towels were thin and hardly fit around the body and there was a lack of toiletries. The mini fridge could fit two small bottles of water which were not provided. The kettle leaked when it was poured and the duvet was clumpy. To top it off, the walls were really thin and our neighbours decided to have a good time in the early hours causing a constant banging on the wall! Sadly, not a good night sleep after an exhausting day.
Room was great- pub/ restaurant was great
Everything was fine
Great location, good food
Room really small, bed uncomfortable,
Door to outside broken, couldn’t get back into building until owner appeared…
The property was in a perfect location for us! Surrounded by many trail routes, as well as a short drive to Derwent and Keswick. The property was very dog and family friendly, they were very accommodating with my 4 year old child. There were children’s toys/games to keep occupied in the bar/seated area. Live music on the weekend was great and food was amazing. Free parking was very convenient and accessible. Customer service was to a really high standard, staff were lovely and helpful. Thanks for a great stay, we will definitely return in the future ☺️
There is nothing to criticise. We really enjoyed our stay and couldn’t find any faults.
I would expect an establishment offering rooms, lunch and dinner to provide breakfast.
Clean, nice bar
Room was not made up next day. No toilet paper, had to ask for more and no towels replaced. Had to ask for them too and didn’t have more bath sheets, so only small ones. Couldn’t turn the radiator off, and due to storm couldn’t open the window. Heated towel rail was cold and couldn’t turn it on.
Good pub vibes
Nothing
The staff were very friendly and informative. We were given the choice whether we’d like to be seated in the bar or restaurant which was great. The food and service was amazing, would definitely recommend!
The room itself was well presented and clean, we had a small issue with the shower but didn’t effect our stay. Very comfortable nights sleep. Small amenities were provided it was a lovely touch.

Lots of tea, coffee and milk for the room. Great facilities in the room.
