Amwaj Blue Cabana Arugambay

Very peaceful and away from the main town. The beach is lovely, but the waves are big. We saw a nesting turtles here as well.

Faiees there is a great host!!

Very cozy cabin, so close to the sea! Amazing location, you could't hear any street noise. It was tidy and comfortable. Big bed. Electric kettle for tea / coffee. We really enjoyed our stay here. Good value for the money.

Fais et le manager sont deux hommes très gentils et serviables. Ils sont là à chaque fois que vous avez besoin d’eux pour vous aider.

Tolle Anlage. Das beste sind die beiden Hosts Nafarullah und Faies die sich großartig um uns gekümmert haben. Essen, Transport, sogar ein BBQ haben sie organisiert.
Die Anlage ist direkt am Meer so dass man jederzeit einen kleinen Kamp gegen die Wellen starten kann.
Allgemein eine sehr ruhige Gegend. Ein einfacher Supermarkt ist wenige Minuten entfernt.
Die Küche ist ausreichend ausgestattet und bietet die Möglichkeit auch selbst zu kochen.
Betten groß und bequem mit gutem Mückennetz

Sehr lieber Host, der sehr leckeres Frühstück zubereitet. Es gibt einen Strandzugang und es ist sehr ruhig dort.

Convenient location, about a 15 min walk to the city centre and great ocean views! Can easily enjoy the Sunrise from here as the beach is right outside. Walking distance to the crocodile rock too, from where you can watch Elephants as well.

All the facilities were good, nothing bad to say at all. Especial mention to Faiz, the host, very friendly and helpful. He makes sure the place kept well for its guests. Good man!

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am schönen Pasarichenai Strand südlich von Arugam Bay und besteht aus 4 sehr schönen, einfachen, sauberen Cabanas mit jeweils eigenem Bad und kleiner Terrasse. Die Bäume im Garten sind noch recht klein, aber alles ist hübsch angelegt und bietet auch Hängematten und einen schattigen Frühstücksplatz. Das Sri Lankische Curry zum Frühstück war außerordentlich lecker und sehr reichlich! Wir konnten auch völlig unkompliziert eine Lagunen-Bootstour über die Unterkunft organisieren. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und empfehlen diese Unterkunft sehr gerne weiter!!

Emplacement au calme (à 15 minutes à pied de la rue principale et 20/25 de « l’animation »)

Las cabañas son muy acogedoras y el personal muy amable. Están situadas un poco apartadas del centro del pueblo, pero con moto o tuktuk la distancia es muy corta. La playa está justo al lado, el sitio es muy recomendable

If you're looking for a quieter spot Amwaj Blue is perfect! Just the sounds of the sea rolling, I slept like a baby. The cabanas are quite new, the gardens are very nice and growing well. Fais (certainly not spelt correctly, sorry!) is a very kind and helpful person, he looked after our family so well and produced some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Big fan of his dhaal! They have a tuk-tuk available for you to hire to self-drive, or you can grab a local one. Just a few minutes into the busy centre of Arugam Bay or to the surf beaches.

It's a quiet little place away from the traffic and chaos and yet not too far from the hustle of the main centre. The rooms were extremely clean, the bedsheets towels were clean and the bed was comfy. The open shower was lovely and I loved it after a day at the beach. Mr Faiz was a pleasure to deal with and always smiling. It's slightly a bit away from the touristy eating spots but there are enough local places around. Would definitely come back next time in Arugambay

Sehr süße Strandhäuschen, sehr freundliches Personal (vor allem Fais). Das Meer ist direkt vor der Haustüre, zwar sehr große Wellen, aber trotzdem sehr toll zum schnell ins Wasser springen. Fais hat uns außerdem zwei Mal ein sehr leckeres Frühstück gemacht! Insgesamt eine sehr besondere Unterkunft mit Wellenrauschen zum Einschlafen inklusive :)
