Pros:

The place is a vibe and then some. It is better than it looks in the photos. It's still kinda coming up with additions and has HUGE potential. The A houses are beautiful with a lovely bedroom upstairs and a living room integrated with a small kitchen down.
The surroundings are wild, in all meanings. With the backwaters next to the property means, regular visits from peacocks, squirrels , birds and once In a while crocodile sighting. It's 5-10 minutes from the main town on a bike, with a lovely ride. Beautiful place. Sandeep was very very helpful in arranging a scooty for us immediately and also with any sort of requests we had. Love the stay.

Pros:

I booked two apartments on 18 January for our stay. However, when we arrived on the 28th, we were told that only one apartment was available for us. This was completely unacceptable.

Because of this mistake, we faced many serious problems. At the last minute, we had to search for another hotel, and it was very difficult to find a good place. Our entire trip plan was disrupted, and we had to change everything unexpectedly. It caused us a lot of stress, inconvenience, and extra expenses.

This kind of booking failure is highly unprofessional. I hope the management takes responsibility and ensures that no other guests experience such a disappointing situation in the future.

Great value place in nature
Pros:

We stayed at The Glade for two weeks, working remotely and exploring Weligama and the nearby towns. The property is large and clean, and the staff are very friendly. They recently added a pool, but the main highlight is being by the river where you can spot birds and crocodiles and being surrounded by fireflies in the evening. It was generally very peaceful. Also a very short drive to town, and easy to get food delivery or tuktuks. The wifi was fast and reliable (when there wasn't a power cut!). Great value for a large place with lots of amenities.

Cons:

The living area of the property gets very hot in the day as there is only AC in the bedroom. On the weekend there is loud music that goes on past midnight from a nearby techno bar.

We had such a wonderful time
Pros:

We stayed here for several weeks and had a wonderful time. The accommodation is perfect for working: Internet and electricity were very stable. The property is right next to the river and beautifully maintained: lots of flowers, plants, a large parking lot, the highlight are definitely the pavilions. You feel like you're in the jungle and you regularly see peacocks, monkeys and colorful birds. The owner was very accommodating and nice, we were also able to do our laundry on site and he was always available if we needed anything. The accommodation is not directly in the city area, so it is advisable to hire a scooter or tuk-tuk.
