Pros:

Very good location at the heart of Thamel. The architecture is beautiful linking with Nepali heritage at the same time being modern.

Cons:

Breakfast buffet could have been better. There weren’t enough plates and cutlery so had to wait for the staff to clean them and bring them our. Increasing staff could have easily solve this issue.

The size of the room

Cons:

The noise of the pump on the water and the fact that I had to insist a lot for making them giving me another room. When they did it they gave me a room with zero natural light and a stain of blood on the bedsheets. Plus, the breakfast is mediocre, definitely not fabulous as written on booking. They don’t even serve coffee. Also the food of the restaurant is not very good. I ordered a chicken burger and the patty was that hard that was impossible to chew it. I asked to a waiter if was possible to change it and he said: “no, it’s just like that”. Fortunately the manager came and proposed to make a new one

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Sky Kathmandu Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The management team was just as impressive – professional, organised, and always making sure everything ran smoothly.

A special mention to Shreya Baswal, who was truly amazing. She went out of her way to help us with laundry service and any additional things we needed during our stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her, and she always assisted with a warm and positive attitude.

Panthar, the manager who tailored our tour for us, was the best. He is a great man and did everything he promised us. He carefully organised our tour throughout the whole of Nepal at a very reasonable price, and every single detail was delivered exactly as agreed. There were no surprises – just honest, reliable service from start to finish.

The management partner Shankar and Lilo, our driver! They were all so good – professional, kind, and genuinely caring. The drivers were punctual and courteous, and they made us feel safe and comfortable throughout our travels.

The coordination between the hotel staff, drivers, and management was seamless. Honestly, the staff were great. Excellent, excellent service all around. I would highly recommend Sky Kathmandu Hotel to anyone visiting Nepal and will definitely stay here again.

Location is good..the hotel is in thamel market . Dinanath the owner of the hotel is a very polite person.rooms r spacious, bathroom is also spacious.price wise hotel is very good and in good location.special thanks to Shreya who sits in reception.she is very helpful and good in nature.she helps us alot.thank you shreya.they should only improve the breakfast.very less options for indian.otherwise must visit this hotel if u want to stay in thamel.

Breakfast is the only thing ..which they should improve..but the kitchen staffs r also very good.when we asked them to make atleast paratha for us they immediately did that..staffs r very good there..

Pros:

I came back and booked the room again after our trip to Ghandruk. Excellent location coupled by clean rooms and helpful staff. They offered us free airport drop both of the time we booked.

We also had a mountain flight booked at morning, they provided us a drop at 4:30 in the morning and gave wakeup calls too.
