The location is good, near the city centre (while for the bus stop to the airport it is a 30-minute walk). The room was spacious and there is aircon (which I didn’t use because it’s not needed as the place is thermically isolated). The kitchen is fully equipped and there are two common toilets (one with and the other without shower). The Wi-Fi works well, although only in the rooms side of this “big flat”. Since I arrived with a late evening flight, I had no local currency to pay them and I could pay the following day (but I found a couple of money changers open even at night which you may use if you stay in the hotel just one night: one is in front of the funicular to the Flame Towers and the other is in front of the Double Gate).
There are young men (some working as delivery guys) sleeping massively all together in the two living rooms and this may not look appealing to everybody, but they are the sweetest people on Earth (I enjoyed their company, but I understand the first impact some people may have when looking at the place). The window in the room had no curtains and there was so much light since 4 am. The communication with the hotelier was the main issue: initially they did not want to tell the precise address of the hostel (which is NIZAMI STREET 43/A) and they insistently asked several times to cancel my reservation on Booking.com (which is usually a huge red flag, but after staying there I can tell they are honest). The receptionist is there only on the day you check-in and only speaks Russian. Although the property is so concerned in cancelling official reservations, I think they really need to keep them because they are actually good and the thing is more about how they present themselves for which I hope this can help clarifying.
The property was huge and hotel needs improvement and proper management.
Property was very poorly managed no reception facilities no staff no manager no paperwork.
Very dirty trash seen all-around no one to maintain and clean rooms.
Kitchen very poorly managed dirty and unhygienic.
Big room, location
No hot water, second day even wasn't cold water, so even I could not wash even face. . It not good place to stay at all. It not that bad, buy if u just a tourist here, its not your choice.
The location was quite nice.
The address on the website is not the correct address, so it's really difficult to get there. We had to walk 10 minutes with our suitcases to get to the correct address. Our room stank of cigarettes so badly that I got a sore throat on the one night that I slept there. The receptionist didn't speak English at all. Both the receptionist and the host (who was not present at the hotel for the entire time we were there) kept pressuring us to cancel our booking.com reservation after forcing us to pay in cash. It was extremely shady and uncomfortable, so we left the morning after, without even getting a refund.
