Beautiful, characterful hotel in a rural location. Immaculately clean and tasteful decor. Super friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed for one night on route to the harry potter studios ,lovely hotel, nicely finished , good breakfast, what more could you want. I'd recommend.
Beautiful location with lovely outside spaces to eat and drink.
Our room (no 14) was an outside room and furnished beautifully.
We had an amazing double shower which I’ve not seen before.
The weather was 36 degrees outside and when we walked into our room it was a cool oasis.
We were only here for one night but will definitely return
Nothing
Amazing location, room was incredible with a stunning view.
The service at breakfast on both mornings was poor. We were room only, the coffee took 20 mins from ordering to arriving at the table. There were lots of tables needing clearing.
Breakfast service was not explained to our friend who was also staying but had breakfast included. The juices were empty, no clean glasses.
Food service was incredibly slow for breakfast too.
That whole area is one of my favourite places in England so many different landscapes, walks and views to see so couldn't be a better location also not so far out of London at all!!!!
I dropped something on the floor and when I wiped it up I lifted the wipe and it was virtually black. I continued to wipe the rest of the floor and the whole floor was dirty. Apart from that the room was clean.
Cosy pub v nice rooms
Full English breakfast. Nice and hot
Everything better than expected
Room
no cooked breakfast as kitchen maintenance. other options poor.
Convenient location for all our family to get together
The menu was very ordinary
Proper English country estate
That we left
I was staying on a work trip. Dinner, bed and breakfast were all excellent.
Fijne kamer, vriendelijke mensen.
We loved the architecture, the antiques, the various pieces of art & the outdoor spaces. The staff was warm & very friendly.
No drawers in the room. Had to live out of suitcases spread across the floor.
