Pros:

Old, outdated and shabby with visible water leaks on ceilings. I'm disabled, and I asked for an accessible room weeks in advance with a walk-in shower but that simply didn't happen. My daughter had to help me into and out of the shower and it leaked like a sieve all over the floor, which made it very dangerous. I raised this query with the front desk, verbally complained but nothing was done to move me to a room with an accessible bathroom. The swimming pool facilities were not accessible to a disabled person either. Food and drinks were extortionately priced and were mediocre at best..so I spent most of the time over the little Christmas break in the bedroom...and couldn't get room service as advertised with menus in the bedroom until I directly confronted the main desk.

Cons:

Everything except for the bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff.

Expensive for what you get
Pros:

I was looking forward to using the pool but it was cold and most of the spa facilities were not working. Had I paid for this I would have been extremely disappointed

Cons:

Property was dirty and dated. I arrived for breakfast at 7.15 and there were dirty plates everywhere and nothing left at the breakfast bar. Food was terrible. Clearly microwave zapped prior to serving and not cooked from scratch. Coffee machine in room leaked and woke me up dripping.

Once the new staff settle in it will be very good.

Plenty of new staff in the restaurant obviously needing direction as especially in the evening there were plenty of people waiting for food.

Pros:

Really good!
JustEats were able to find it.

Cons:

I called before booking about the sauna being open. It was "broken". I would not have booked if it was. The sauna IS VERY IMPORTANT to me.
Breakfast - constant queue to get a hot drink... the 1 machine also broke at one point... total chaos.
There were children in the pool when there's not supposed to be children...- I picked specific times to go in the pool...uuurrrggghhhh

A decent overnight stay with a bonus swim!
Pros:

Nice grounds, great pool, good breakfast, comfortable beds, very friendly and helpful bar staff.

Cons:

The building wasn’t beautiful, the food at dinner wasn’t great, lacking basic essentials in the room such as shampoo and conditioner which when requested seemed to be very difficult to source. Extractor fan in the bathroom made a dreadful racket so ended up using the bathroom in the dark!

Okay but staff and spa disappointing

Staff not great, restaurant staff all quite young standing around chatting together or occupied with phones

Spa receptionist quite rude and unaccommodating. Told I could “leave my stuff round the pool” as no token available for locker if you don’t happen to have a £1 coin, also told no robes available for hotel guests in standard rooms even if paying for a spa treatment

Spa was disappointing, extremely tired with lots of areas out of order or not working properly, no robes available for hotel guests (on request to management a robe was made available) should be available for all when paying for treatment.

Good place to stay to visit local sites of interest
Pros:

Friendly staff, ample breakfast, comfy bed and good sized room.
10 mins drive from Sutton Hoo as my reason to visit the area, can’t provide any review of the pool/spa area or golfing.

Cons:

Be great for the TV to get an upgrade so you can either log into your a streaming service or cast from a device.
Minor room issues reported on checkout as didn’t effect my stay.

Cons:

Unclean room an poor room condition and over priced more like a £70 room with breakfast
No WiFi details in the room
Glass wear in the bar needs replacing old an over well used cloudy an scratched
Place needs a major refub but I expect the members are stopping this due to fees an letting the place down in my opinion

Although the resort was nice and friendly, the multiple facilities not working ruined our stay.
Pros:

Breakfast was nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. Other guests were friendly.

Cons:

We booked this hotel due to the facilities that it offered. The reason we came to the hotel was to try the hydro pool however it was shut off both days along with multiple sauna rooms. This was frustrating and ruined our stay

My room 119 needs the shower hard, riser, generally renewing/replacing.

Location and staff. Breakfast

Cons:

The whole building is in need of some additional maintenance and decoration.
Cracked tiles in the room, wallpaper peeling. Taps in the bathroom worn, sticking etc. Outside area needs additional tidying.
A shame because on the whole its a nice place and should be better.
