Can do so much better
Pros:

Lovely location and lovely staff, but new owners have degraded the quality of the hotel. It needs money spent on it to bring it into the 21st century.

Mainly good
Pros:

We have stayed before, location good and plenty of space and fantastic views over the golf course. The room backed onto the golf course which was nice.

Cons:

The evening meal of fish and chips was very greasy and not very good. The hairdryer in the room did not work, and the tv remote needed new batteries. Only 1 pillow each laid out on the bed ( managed to find others after enquiring to reception). Inadequate info in room, including no info on phoning through to reception!

This hotel is so close to being great but is lacking in small details.
Pros:

The location was ideal.

Cons:

It needs a refurb. Rooms and restaurant are a little tired. Pillows are very firm. Coffee supplies in room are poor. Breakfast ingredients were very basic - sliced bread from a bag!

Wedding
Pros:

Attended a wedding and the location is beautiful. With the grounds and the golf course as the backdrop it is wonderfully situated. The sun shone and everything was perfect. The staff were efficient and friendly for the function which was lovely. Bar staff were helpful but some did look a little scruffy which was a shame. Overall we were all very happy with everything and the wedding meal (breakfast) was really excellent. Served quickly and very hot and delicious, this impressed us as we understand it's not an easy task!
We had two rooms. 392 (premier room - Aldeburgh) and a standard family room (209). 392 was lovely with a lovely balcony and view. Superb bathroom and comfortable. A very warm day made for a very warm room so the fan was a helpful addition.
209 not so good. Very clean and comfortable but just a bit tired. Needs refurbishment and freshening up but certainly adequate.

Cons:

A lot of the hotel needs refurbishment and is just a bit tired and sad. It's rather a shame as the location is stunning. My sister had a standard room (243) and that was rather dismal with the most awful outlook over some roof area but agin the room was clean and basically comfortable.
It's obvious this hotel could be absolutely stunning but needs some serious TLC.
Breakfast comes under the 'ok' standard. It was pleasant and certainly edible, but just failed to impress. Hot food felt like the cheapest sausages and cheapest bacon and hash browns were overcooked. Fried eggs were swimming in oil and the scrambled eggs were probably a bit over done. It was 'ok'. Yoghurt, fruits, cereals and juices available which was nice. A very nice coffee machine provided delicious drinks which was appreciated. Breakfast done the job but could be better.

Pros:

Lovely place. I liked the crazy golf. Good selection of food and drink.

Cons:

The breakfast when we arrived at 9.30 was very sparse. When we asked for more items the staff seemed very unfriendly( she never smiled ).

Disappointing dated accommodation
Pros:

Location to where I was visiting.

The building was clean but very dated.

Old TVs in the room with minimal channels - should be Smart TVs.

Bed was two singles pushed together, but they were different heights.

Bad and disappointing

Cons:

I booked twin and was booked into a double so they had to change our room. Only one towel provided. Telephone connection was non existent so phone did not work. Blind was faulty so we could not pull it down to block out the security search lights from the car park. The restaurant was extremely dirty with food from the evening meal from the night before all over the floor. Cobwebs on the windows in the restaurant. All windows and doors both inside and out were dirty.
Overall cleanliness very poor.
