A great hotel, thats just gets it right!
Pros:

First time staying at the Black Ivy, a what a great hotel! Staff welcoming and helpful. Room clean, modern and very cool. Breakfast was very good indeed. Dinner was great. A real buzz about the place. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Highly recommend for a quiet part of Edinburgh, beautiful location, great restaurant.
Pros:

The restaurant is amazing! Our room was huge, loved the decor. Not noisy, never got disturbed because of patrons in other rooms or outside. Toiletries provided, enjoyed using them.

Cons:

Bathroom is small, especially when compared to the room.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable stay
Pros:

Had a great stay, everything was perfect! Super helpful staff, nice room, super clean, cozy feeling. The hotel has a lovely design and ambience, the bar is so nice as well. Would love to stay there again!

Cons:

Not too far from city center, but it would be nice if it were closer.

La chambre était plus spacieuse que nous ne l'attendions.
Le petit déjeuner est à la carte. Il vaut mieux le savoir pour le cas où l'on ne choisit pas qu'il soit inclus dans la réservation de la chambre. Lorsqu'il est inclus, on peut choisir n'importe quoi.

Cons:

L'hotel se trouve au dessus d'une taverne-restaurant, et dispose d'une porte particulière à l'entrée. Toutefois, il n'y a pas de réception à proprement parler. Il faut s'adresser au bar, ce qui n'est pas très clair à l'entrée.

Delightful sleep
Pros:

Extremely comfortable bed. Powerful and luxurious shower. Coffee machine a nice touch too. Enjoyed the meal downstairs. The experience was a delight! Also arrived sat evening so had free parking and on sunday which is so handy for Edinburgh.
