Location
This is the 2nd time i have stayed at the Black Ivy, first time was in 2021. This time the price was jacked to extortionate prices because of some festivals i had no interest in seeing and breakfast wasn't included. £750 for two night is a joke. The room was like a London Bedsit. There are cracks through the wall and ceiling, the windows make screeching noises when opened and closed, there is no door on the shower, the bathroom door didn't shut. Carpet between the bathroom and bedroom is lifting up and the bed wasn't great. The Insulation between the rooms on the same floor are like nothing i have experienced anywhere!! The ********* in the room next to us allowed their kids to use the shower like a waterpark and they were screaming until Midnight first night and 1am the 2nd. Unfortunately this place has lost its ability to maintain its quality. Won't go back there which is a pity, the location is excellent

Very good breakfast. Lots of options and really very tasty. Good service. Great location.
Didn't get the room we asked for - selected for twin beds but got double. Crack in the shower basin on arrival but they did send someone to deal it very quickly. Room was good but needs a bit of TLC in places.
The features and individuality of the hotel was beautiful the finishing touches and lighting were lovely the staff were amazing too and went out of there way to be hospitable

Das Frühstück war lecker, man konnte à la carte auswählen. Das Personal war überaus freundlich. Die Lage ist gut, ruhig und grün. Mit dem Linienbus kommt man bequem ins Zentrum, zu Fuß auch möglich (ca. 20 Min. Gehzeit).
Service was standout, staff killed it no doubt!
Humidity could build up after a shower in the room with no way out (bathroom facilities do have a fan, but its a lot of area for the one fan to do). Window was able to be opened however, made quick fix.
Comfy and stylish room. Friendly staff. We are in the restaurant and had the best steak pie! The restaurant/ bar had a great atmosphere and was still buzzing at 9:30 but you couldn’t hear anything from our bedroom which was great. Breakfast was good.
Slight confusion regarding our breakfast booking but it was quickly rectified.
