Prachtig hotel, net iets buiten het toeristische gedeelte.
Pros:

We hebben een upgrade gekregen naar een prachtige kamer.
Goed ontbijt en leuke bar voor een laatste drankje.
Super vriendelijke bediening.

Cons:

We hebben 1 avond gehad dat we zelf op zoek zijn gegaan naar iemand om iets te drinken te krijgen.

Pros:

Das Ambiente war sehr schön und am Wochenende kann man kostenlos an der Straße parken.

Cons:

Das Personal war durchwachsen. Wir hatten eine super liebe Kellnerin aber leider auch eine Kellnerin die sehr bestimmt und abweisend war. Zusätzlich hat uns die Dame beim Einchecken angelogen. Nach ihrer Aussage gab es kein Lift dem ist aber nicht so, wie wir später erfahren haben nachdem wir mehrfach unseren 16 Jahren alten Hund in den zweiten Stock tragen durften. Am Abend ist es super laut was beim Schlafen sehr gestört hat.

Wunderschönes Hotel
Pros:

Sehr schönes Hotel und Restaurant mit wunderschöner Dekoration. Grosszügiges Zimmer und bequemes Bett, Tee&Cafè-Station im Zimmer. Super Frühstück und Abendessen, tolle Drinks. Ein- und Auschecken war sehr effizient. Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Team. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Cons:

Kein Safe im Zimmer.
Da wir das Zimmer direkt über dem Haupteingang des Restaurants hatten, war es am Freitagabend entsprechend laut. Ev. wären schalldämpfende Vorhänge eine Idee? :-)

The Black Ivy was a great introduction to Scotland and the neighborhood.
Pros:

The staff was so helpful carrying our suitcases up two floors and welcoming me with a happy birthday plate! The location is wonderful--walking distance to the university and the fringe festival. We actually returned to the Black Ivy on our last night before flying back home. The breakfasts were yummy. The park view was a nice bonus.

Cons:

The first place we stayed, the junior suite, was comfortable. The smaller room we stayed in the last night was beautiful but crowded.
