We had such an amazing stay at Quanam Woods. We stayed there for 12 days while we were doing research. Bramwell and his team were so kind and welcoming! They arranged transport to the airport and listened to all our needs. Food was great and so was the coffee. Valerie and Manu were also so accommodating and sweet. Best place in Lodwar!
I loved staying here. It’s a clean, simple, no fuss place with functioning aircon, great food and lovely staff. Very clean.
It's a great place, close to everything, with fantastic service and super friendly staff. A/C and electricity are available for the whole duration of the stay. The food was incredible as well.
The cleanliness of the rooms could be improved and the comfort of the beds are average.
This quiet, safe hotel is the place to stay in Lodwar. High points include air-conditioned rooms (a must here), excellent food, friendly staff, and solid wifi. The staff also helped me to arrange a trip to Lake Turkana upon my arrival, which was fantastic. The hotel connected me to a taximan and guide named Elijah, who took me to Kalokol, where, with Elijah's help, I hired a boat to go to a fishing village called Longech. I walked along the beach and through the village and saw how the locals process fish. I had fun interacting with kids, who were happy to see a mzungu. Elijah also took me around Lodwar town to look for Turkana crafts and to the giant cross at the Catholic shrine near the airport, which I'd recommend. I was impressed with the hotel and the trip they helped to arrange, and I hope to return to Quanum Woods again soon.
The only downsides were a power outage (only about an hour) and an inconsiderate neighbor one morning. Neither of these was the hotel's fault; they were just part of the travel experience.
The staff were kind and helpful. They provided help with transportation arrangements and were very supportive and understanding of my needs.
Great place to stay in Lodwar. The food is good quality, including the large breakfast in the morning with fresh juice and tea. Staff are super friendly and always happy to help you out and give you what you need. Well stocked bar with a tv which shows the football games. Overall it's quiet, clean, and friendly. I'll be back.
This is a very nice hotel. A good central location, it’s very clean, has air conditioned rooms, good food and above all, a nice and very responsive staff. A special callout to Bramwell, the hotel manager, who was very helpful in organising trips out of Lodwar. It has a great courtyard which makes it a bit of a haven from the heat (38 degrees when we stayed a week there). You can sit at tables outside and work or just relax and have a drink. Highly recommended.
Very Hood. Clean, safe, pecefull, 10 min walk from the town ceter.
