Cons:

Cocroaches everywhere and when I enquired I was told that fumigation was scheduled for the following day, which prompted me to ask if the place was rented with the knowledge of the infestation as I was only booked for 1 night. Response was that the issue had been pointed out and the apartment had previously been fumigated.
I checked in late evening so it was too late to go anywhere else. They offered no alternative. I could not unpack for fear of carrying cocroaches home with me. I did not dare enter the bed, I curled up on the corner with lights on and barely slept a wink.

Could have been awesome if not for the infested cockroaches
Pros:

It is a beautiful accommodation but needs proper fumigation as the cockroaches were out of this world(too much in the house)... and very cheap low quality utensils... otherwise it's is a nice accommodation

Second stay in a cockroach infested apartment - time to find a new place to stay.
Pros:

The staff at the hotel are amazing, they are so friendly and accomodating. I also like that the apartments have a kitchen in them.

Cons:

This is the second time this year that I have stayed at the hotel that I have had cockroach problems in my room. There was a can of doom in the kitchen when I arrived, which is normally not provided. As soon as it got dark, I understood why. I killed about 20 cockroaches. When you went out into the kitchen at night they were everywhere, running over the counters, all over the floor and in the bathroom too. When I made my booking I even mentioned the cockroaches from my last say and requested a room on the other side of the building hoping to avoid them but that did not even help. The staff were great and made a plan to move rooms for me but having this happen twice in a row, I have now decided it's time to move on and rather stay somewhere else, which is sad because I have stayed at the Nicol 30 times over the last few years but the standards have just dropped too much.
