It was affordable
There was no hot water to shower after 1 person showered for 15 minutes.
It was not up to standard. Furniture was damaged and old. Cleaning staff not friendly.
Everytime we wanted to order food the kitchen staff advised that the item is not available. Makes you wonder why is it on the menu in the first place.
R95 for a chicken and mayo sandwich? Damn. I mean it was okay but for that price it's ridiculous. They had no chicken lasagna and no tramazini.
The bathroom had a bad smell when we entered.
It was stuffy and there was a smoke smell when using the aircon. There was no table by the Vanity mirror.
Not happy with the stay at all. We always stayed at the Nicol since 2020 for holidays but this time will be the last. And this was our anniversary stay.
Very disappointed.
I would rather spend more to book at a proper hotel like Protea or Emperor's where there are no complaints.
