Overall, it was still good, and the security was quite effective.
The hotel was well located in the city center of Peshawar. The room was large, spacious, clean, and modern. The staff was friendly. It’s just a 5-minute walk from downtown, and you can easily get a taxi there, which the administration staff can also arrange for you. The ride to the Torkham Border with Afghanistan takes about two hours. Breakfast includes more traditional Pakistani dishes than international options, but it’s still very good. I recommend it for its value for money, especially for stays related to crossing between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Couldn't get a taxi early in the morning and hotel did not have anything to accommodate us to the airport.

A typical nondescript hotel of tourist category. Not VIP at all. Breakfast is poor and only for locals, we could only eat flatbreads.
A very comfortable hotel, well run, and with all the facilities a traveller needs. Staff are very obliging and hospitable. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The food for lunch and dinner is also very good. The location is quiet and good for sleeping without ear plugs. There's a nice area for sitting outside and enjoying an escape from the hustle and bustle of Peshawar.
