It was clean
We pay for and book two rooms with a bed in each room they try to give us one room and one bed for two adult men

I have never left a bad review before but feel I honestly need to this time.
My search included a place with balcony but upon arrival I wasn't given a room with a balcony. I went out and returned about 7.30pm to find it all locked up. Eventually someone opened up and let me in. They were sleeping in the lobby.
There were no sheets on the bed. Just a blanket thing on the bottom and a polyester puffy topper with no cover on top.Clearly not something that is washed between guests. A table with unwashed tablecloth. The bathroom was filthy. Black scum up the walls of the shower. I used a bit of tissue and it wiped away easily, so definately was not an unremovable stain. I did take a video if needed. Also the sink area was full of white toothpaste/soap blobs - also easily removable when I rubbed with damp tissue paper.
The window looks out onto an alleyway which was used by staff as a cooking area. Was woken by the noise of staff right outside my window then the powerful fumes of fish cooking coming right through my aircon as their cooking facility was right there. I had to go outside the front door for a while as it was unbearable.
The aircon filter has not been cleaned regularly.
The staff were pleasant but clearly someone needs to retrain them re the cleaning and to be aware in many other aspects that it is a hotel.
I really dislike having to leave such a bad review but feel it would be unfair on any future guests not to.

With it’s price, I was expecting at least few toiletries included like other villa/ pension. But none, the room is not that clean. It’s kinda dusty, it seems like it was left vacant for awhile that hasn’t maintained it’s cleanliness, which left me and my partner caught in asthma and allergic rhinitis. The bathroom’s sink I think, is leaking coz when I check the bathroom, the floor was a bit wet under the sink, and there’s a used soap left in the bathroom which we thought that it hasn’t been cleaned pretty well, or left the bathroom as is by the previous guest except for the sheets. There was no bidet, which there should’ve been an alternative at least with a dipper and a bucket. And we couldn’t turn on the tv. The reason I chose to stay here because I checked the details like amenities and so on, which it’s indicated that there was room service or food etc. but there’s none, and the only available was cup noodles, please make sure to update your details here what are the inclusions in the room. We had to go outside like 7/11 to buy what’s missing which you have to take a cab just to go to a convenience store, considering the place is just within the subdivision. So far, it’s all good because it should’ve been a comfortable stay, but it didn’t meet my expectations and considering for it’s price. As a traveller, I could say, I’ve stayed in some small villas or pension which is less affordable but it has complete basic amenities/toiletries, at least just the basics.

My stay in this pension hotel was really nice. The staffs are very accommodating. The room (although very affordable) is very cozy and tidy, and the CR is well cleaned. Not to mention the WIFI connection is also good. I work online so I consider this every time I checked in and stay in a hotel. Overall, my short stay was quite laid back. Will definitely stay here again when I visit Dumaguete again and will surely recommend to my friends.
