Fantastic view of Alhambra from the mirador room in a historic building
5 minute walk on cobbles with cases to get to the property
Jesus went above and beyond for me to have an unforgettable stay at his XVI century place.
The toilet seat, clean but needs to be replaced ;)
It was such a privilege to stay in a 14th-century historic building beautifully arranged by an artist!
We loved the plants and fresh flowers in the space, as well as the host’s artwork and collection of books. The room was very spacious, and the view of the Alhambra through the large windows was absolutely stunning!
It might be because it’s an old building, but the water pressure in the bathroom was a bit low.
Amazing views in a historical building
Wifi struggles, but that was due to the power outage in Spain and our of anyone's control
Very welcoming
Beautiful view of Alhambra
Very cool communal places, great art
Perfect accommodation
Authentic 16 century house. Not fussy and beautiful. Great location. Felt more like a home than a hotel. Cozy and obviously much loved by Jesus , its owner
I liked everything. The check in procedure could have been clearer
Beautiful old (parts of the house dating to the 1100’s) palacio in the heart of the Albaicín. Our room had a view of the Alhambra, which is spectacular, especially lit up at night. Easy walk to town, cafes and bodegas just down the road (although quiet at the home), and not far to walk to the Alhambra and other sites. Jesus was a great host and his place has a wonderful Boho vibe.
Having looked at all the reviews i knew in advance that this property was difficult to find but Jesus emailed us beforehand with directions and advice regarding where the taxi could park and he met us to help with the luggage ( I do not travel light so thank you ) The location in Albacin, exceeded our expectations we wanted to stay somewhere with history and that is exactly what we got none of the picture do the accommodation justice The property is unique and decorated with so much character its clear that the restoration of the building by Jesus is a labour of love . The view from the balcony of the Alhambra and Granada was breathtaking . Jesus helped with loads of recommendations for places to eat and this 100% helped us get a real feel for Granada
Nothing
It is a beautiful place in a great location and the host was very hospitable.
This property although difficult to find in the winding hills of Albacin, exceeded our expectations! Jesus made sure everything was to our liking and he really takes pride in this place. It felt like we were one of the locals with a little tavern right around the corner from us. It was close to the main square. We couldn’t have been more happy!
The motivation for visiting Granada was the attempt to visit the Alhambra and to review its location and purpose within a landscape of spectacular surroundings and most remarkable historical events.
The approach and visit of this unique place unfortunately - but understandably - is struggling with enormous touristic interest making important sights hard/impossible to view.
Fortunately, the official attempts to confine ticket and access to a minimum - and there are many more sights to visit in the surrounding old city area.
We wanted to stay somewhere with history that felt like we were staying in Spain (vs a chain or modern hotel). This property was beautiful and unique, our top floor room was bright and airy, and it included a large private balcony and beautiful views of the Alhambra and Granada. You will be surrounded by history, views, nature, beauty, art and books during your stay here. And the property manager Jesus (who is also an accomplished artist) really made our trip with his hospitality, knowledge of the city, and suggestions & recommendations, which allowed us to experience Granada feeling more like insiders vs tourists. We loved it so much we decided against traveling to another city, so we could enjoy and get to know Granada more. Thank you so much again, Jesus!
There were minor hiccups that we feel are to be expected with staying in an historic property, and nothing that impacted our stay in any significant way.
Amazing location - in the former moorish quarter but not too ‘deep’ - close to main streets etc. Old building so need to appreciate it’s not a modern hotel, but it’s comfortable.
Super nice and helpful owner/manager Jesus - helped with the bags etc. even super early morning.
Loved the beautiful property. Every room so pretty and the art was amazing. Jesus was an excellent host. He was very helpful and friendly.
Only recommendation is to have a larger and more comfortable bed. The mattress was very rigid.
What an incredible place to stay! The art and furniture was so special and we absolutely loved it. The views were also incredible. Our host was also so welcoming and helpful. The location is amazing and we were given plenty of recommendations of where to visit and eat.
The only thing is that we did not have facilities such as coffee/tea maker, but as we were so close to everything we could pop out.
It can also be a little loud at night but we were fine.
