Perfect for short stays
Pros:

Great location, tucked away right around the corner from Galata Tower. There is a supermarket nearby and the kitchenette is perfect for a short stay. The address is also close to public transport connections points and the famous İstiklal Avenue.

Cons:

Bedding & towels were worn and old. Elderly or weak people might struggle with the stairs to final floor if they have heavy luggage as the last flight is quite steep.

Basement Apartment
Pros:

Great location, good to have mini-kitchen facilities, easy check-in process, good communication from staff. They have done an admirable job of trying to renovate and make it nice.

Cons:

It's not quite clear from the pictures that the Apartment is actually quite a dark, dank basement room, with low ceilings in the kitchen area/ bathroom. We had mosquito/s in the room both nights. We booked this for the balcony but did not use it at all - it's very uninviting with bugs hovering immediately outside the door, and the small perspex balcony cover had a smashed beer bottle on it. Not reassuring to sit outside if something might fall down at any point! I imagine from other reviews that the upper rooms are quite nice, but I wouldn't recommend the basement Apartment, particularly if you are hoping to use the balcony.

Nice little apartment with great view
Pros:

Location is excellent, with a nice little balcony with a view of the sea. Good for a short stay.

Cons:

Asked for a little flexibility regarding an early check in - got none, unfortunately.
Be mindful of the very narrow spiral staircase inside the apartment, if you have large luggage, might be tricky to get it up and down.

Lovely place
Pros:

Amazing location, quiet street, nice room, great service. We got help with our luggage, received excellent advice and help with arranging anything we needed. I was travelling alone with a child and felt very safe and looked after.

Cons:

The room was a little small; not a lot of storage space.

Amazing place in the heart of Galata
Pros:

I'm in love with this hotel. I was living in the upper room, with an amazing view of the sea. I enjoy spending time there, the balcony is their pearl. Very comfortable and quiet place despite the fact that it's situated near Galata and a lot of overcrowded and popular streets. The hotel is clean, the service is amazing, and the reception guy was invaluable and nice! The hotel staff helped us with transferring to/from the airport. Very nice, cozy, and clean place!

Cons:

Everything was fine!

Pros:

Excellent location and great deal for your buck! Nice room with kettle/microwave etc.

Cons:

Why not provide some simple things like instant tea/coffee, a few bottles of water etc? Also, another towel for the bathroom floor and some more spare toilet papers could help make the experience smoother!

Our stay in Istanbul was truly enjoyable, thanks to the exceptional staff who went above and beyond to assist us. Their kindness and attentiveness made a big difference during our visit.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city.

Pros:

Nice room with a private bathroom on a good location - very turisty area with many good bars and restaurants around, but secluded enough to be quiet at night. Big windows, comfortable bed. Easy self check-in with front door and room door code.

Cons:

Steep access, lack of storage space, no room service within 6 days (although the nearby cabinet with fresh towels is accessible), I could hear the steps of the upper flat guest very loudly at night.

WARNING: ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ STAIRS AND COBBLE STONES, YOUR SUITCASES WILL MAKE YOU MISERABLE
Pros:

The room and location were as advertised.

Cons:

The details that were not shared. 2 specifically:
1. The approach roads are steep and made of cobble stone. This means if you are carrying a suitcase or two, and walking to the property from metro/tram, you are screwed because you can't roll your suitcase, you need to carry it. Ensure that you take a taxi for the last mile.
2. Very Steep and tight wooden stairs inside the building: again a surprise. My room was allocated in 3rd floor.

I was carrying 1 check in suitcase 25kg, 1 cabin suitcase. So the 12 min steep uphill walk from metro followed by 3 floors of steep and tight staircase climb with my luggage killed check in experience. The dreaded experience repeated itself at check out as well 🤦‍♂️

The host should declare such details so that people are forewarned and they prepare accordingly.
