Everything was perfect. The property itself is a beautiful piece of history and a fine example of Dutch colonial architecture, full of charm and character. The room was beautiful and impeccably clean, and the shower was hot with excellent water pressure. The staff were absolutely wonderful—warm, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection and high-quality food. A truly memorable experience.

Everything about the property was 5* for my first night. A wonderful welcome and my room was stunning and very clean and comfortable.
On my second night, after advising I thought there was a rat in my room on the 1st day on my stay, I then found said rat under my pillow at 2am. A sleepless night followed and rat was caught the next day. It was pretty traumatic actually putting the pillow to find the rat under my pillow. It hurts me to write a negative review as everything was great until meeting the rat, but I don’t think the property’s reaction to me finding a rat in my bed was satisfactory. They just caught it and said it was all ok. I tried to at least change rooms but was told it was full, which I am unsure it was as I didn’t see many other guests. I had even said I had seen a rat day before and I’m not sure they believed me.
Perfecte locatie om Galle te ontdekken! Een oud koloniaal huis dat mooi is gerestaureerd. De airco hadden we echt nodig.
Heerlijk bed en de binnentuin, waar je ontbijt op je eigen tafel krijgt ademde een en al historie. Direct naast The Bungalow: een goed restaurant!
Kamer was wat aan kleine kant.
Staff were lovely. Interesting breakfast. Brilliant location in the middle of the fort with an excellent restaurant just next door.
