The location is amazing. There are some lovely old features and a beautiful fireplace you can sit beside. Having the stream run past felt very relaxing. The restaurant served some great plant-based food.
Nothing specifically but our room could have benefited from extra towels, bottles of water and better coffee making facilities like a Nespresso machine. That would have made a big difference to our stay. There were a couple of plant-based dishes that missed the mark in terms of texture like the chicken burger and juicy marbles steak that is more like a pulled meat.
It was absolutely amazing, the staff were helpful, welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The food was top quality, cooked to perfection and generous sized portions. The Hall itself is atmospheric (both inside and out), cosy and welcoming with real fires and both quirky and traditional features. Our dog was made very welcome with thoughtful gestures of treats and a cosy mat to lie on while accompanying us to breakfast and dinner. We thought it exceptional value considering the beauty, ambience and quality of our stay and we will definitely stay again.
Nothing
Great location with wonderful views and excellent staff
Poor lighting on the somewhat precarious approach to the building
Location was by far the greatest part of the property but the service was really notable also
nothing
as non-vegans really enjoyed trying their menu
Good breakfast
More lighting needed on access bridge- we arrived in dark and rain with bags and a dog. Didn’t feel too safe
Dog treat and bowls for dog in room would have been nice
staff was very friendly and approachable. Mabel was very nice and friendly. Mabel made sure we had a lovely time during our stay. Food was brilliant. Location was good.
The TV and remote could do some upgrade. The fire exit lighting in our bedroom was very bright during the night, which interrupted our sleep. The heating modules could be a bit more user friendly. Too warm at night despite attempt to reduce heating.
Breakfast choice and qty was good
The room was very cramped and the bathroom too - the sink was so small it was useless - nothing like the rooms advertised on booking .com - not worth £165 per night
We stayed here for our anniversary and it was lovely. Beautiful scenery & decor, and wonderful staff. Special thanks to Wade for being amazing! Will definitely be back.

Excellent location , beautiful decor and in nature surroundings. I loved the place. However I didn’t noticed that it’s vegan restaurant.
The views. Having patio doors was a bonus
The method of collecting tips. Took away a bit of class
