The hotel basically scams tourists by providing wrong location in Gangtok and once you reach the destination and call the hotel to locate it, the staff instructs you to gibe the phone to the cab driver and asks him to drive ahead to Bakthang which is very far from city, when i asked the staff about it, they lied and gaslighted me into thinking whoever gave me the information about Bakthang being far(google map, driver and local people) was a lie and that i was misinformed, when i further confronted about it, they cut the call, since i couldn't book anything last minute and the cab had already took us way out of city i had no other option but to still go there, when i asked the receptionist about the location scam, they further doubled down and said it was a misunderstanding and said the location always said Bakthang instead of District court, the hotel does not have proper management or staff, it is NOT a 4 star hotel, the room had no toiletries, i got rashes by sleeping in the bed and the food was overpriced but there were no eateries nearby since the hotel was way out of town, the name of the hotel itself is not what's provided here, it is called the 'the z retreat', they did it purposefully to mislead tourist into such distant location.

everything is photoshopped, expensive, dirty, unfriendly staff tries to squeeze more money trying to sell room upgrades, horrible breakfast, location far outside Gangtok booking.com should travel there and verify this hotel, it's all fake!
