Great location, great breakfast and coffee.
Pros:

The location was amazing across the road from the beach.
Beautiful breakfast and coffee, and welcome drink.
The super early morning staff very helpful (garden cleaner)

Cons:

Bathroom door very hard to open and close, water on first day only, no tea or coffee in room (kettle only) had to purchase from then on. Conditioner bottle was empty. Blockout curtains are needed, there was light coming through all night.For the money I felt the accomodation was a let down we expected more as this was the most expensive place we stayed in Sri Lanka and was offered much better hospitable service for half the price.

Best place in Hiriketiya
Pros:

This is the place to stay when you are in Hiriketiya, a little pricier than other hotels, but perfectly worth it. The breakfast is amazing and included in the price, whilst other people come outside of the hotel for it

Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel, kregen een welkomstdrankje /sorbet bij aankomst. Mooie accomodatie, horende bij een lunchroom/restaurant. Ontbijt was heerlijk. Hele schone en mooie, moderne kamer. Op steenworp afstand van het strand.

Perfect for a short stay at the beach, maybe a bit overpriced.
Pros:

The location is perfect for the beach and there is a restaurant bar downstairs. The room is also somewhat modern.

Cons:

The service is a bit intermittent and there was no water in the room on arrival. When we went down to ask for a water they charged us 900lkr and then the next day there was water in the room. Additionally the menu is mostly pizza and pasta.

Highly recommend
Pros:

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel – it was by far the best accommodation during our trip to Sri Lanka! The rooms are new, modern, and beautifully designed – we felt comfortable right away.

Staffs are extremely friendly, welcoming. Dameen is very helpful to show us around and make sure we had a great time at La Luna

Breakfast is so good and high quality. Good coffee and matcha latte :)

The location is in front of Hiriketiya beach and she camps. It is easy to access other locations and famous restaurants nearby.

All in all, a wonderful stay – we’d love to come back and highly recommend this place!

Great location, lovely staff, outstanding breakfast.
Pros:

We loved the location, the breakfast was excellent, staff were lovely. Facilities were good. Well used. Low season so restaurant was closed at 4.30 which was actually good to have the place quiet!

Cons:

Room needed a deep clean, water leaking from ceiling during heavy downpour, coffee, tea, toilet paper was not topped up during our stay of 3 nights. Had to ask for things.
Given the proximity to the beach I think some beach towels would’ve been nice.
Strange dirt path to the spiral stairs up to room could be paved. Minor things really.

Not in any way a full service property
- doors don’t lock properly
- no hand towels or toilet paper
- would only provide one body towel per person for the three day stay
- staff knocked on door at 8am on final morning of stay for house keeping? Hadn’t heard from them otherwise - no cleaning or refreshing of room
During stay
- security guard on property cornered us at 10pm when we were coming back to ask why two of us were in the room? We paid for two people and checked in as two people
- no staff on property past 4pm
- no proper entrance to property, walking through mud.
- property in no way reflects the cost they charge per night

Exceptional
Pros:

Very welcoming and accommodating staff.
Delicious restaurant linked to accom.
Only 2 or 3 rooms so not ever overcrowded in terms of staying there. Breakfast was whatever we wanted on the restaurant's breakfast menu including great espresso coffee. The location was perfect, AC was cold. The bed was super comfy.
We'll be back!
