My high hopes were dashed. I was terribly disappointed.
Pros:

Diner staff was friendly and accomodating.

Cons:

Not enough parking. On Saturday I had to park on the street a block away. There was no parking of any kind remotely close to my room. The layout of the hotel with the addition at the back made it a pain in the ass to get to and from my room from anywhere on the property, whether parking, the lobby, the pool, or the restaurants.
It was way overpriced.
It had no on premises EV charging.

Awesome!!!
Pros:

This is a beautiful hotel with fantastic rooms. The food is excellent. We ate the steakhouse onsite and it is very good. This is our favorite Hotel in Nacogdoches, TX. It’s overall one of our favorite places to stay anywhere.

Cons:

The only issue I would have is the hotel’s one elevator is slow. If it’s possible, speeding up that elevator would be a plus. It’s an updated old hotel so maybe changing the elevator is not possible.

The bed was comfortable

Cons:

Room is so small. A/C would only work set on 66 or it would turn the heat on if you raised it a degree. We asked for body wash as the one in the shower was out. No one ever showed up to deliver it. We love staying here but this visit was not a good one. When we arrived there was no one at the counter. It just didn’t feel like it usually does. The bathroom was tiny.

Bonding with grandson around the pool.
Pros:

No included breakfast. I liked the pool I let my grandson play in it for a while.

Cons:

WI Fi password printed in keycard envelope didn't work. could have called the desk but it wasn't important to me.

Pros:

Location but there are several newer hotels within a couple minutes.

Cons:

Very old despite numerous renovations. We may as well not had a door, the hallway noise was very loud. Probably due to 1/2" or more gap near the floor.
I will stay elsewhere in the future when I come back to Nacogdoches on vacation.
