Initial room was average was able to get one with better view thanks to Madhu.
Secure car parking fee very expensive & car park itself poorly designed & not easy to enter.

Handicap bathroom which was not requested so no lid on toilet shower curtailed no shower stall
The gyme does not even have an exercise mat and minimal cardio machines
For an expensive hotel i found it lacking

The sound proofed rooms and the comfy beds at this property are next level - you could NOT tell you are in the city and this is the second time I have stayed here and slept so soundly!
Also love the personalised meet and greet and the sms to check in. The welcome cookie is a nice personal touch but feel could be negated by free parking on site instead :-)
Feel like parking was free last time (but could be wrong) and this time $37. Wouldn't have minded with this so much if I hadn't paid a more premium rate for this stay for some unknown reason (not sure if there was something in town?!) - paid $449 vs at least $150 less last time. Do realise it's summer and peak tourist season but last time I stayed it was December and not all that different and much much cheaper. For someone as an ex-local (Hobart) it meant the difference between staying one night or two, and spending more at the hotel (or not).
Do realise the occasion busy times peak rates but for Tasmanian based residents (I am hobart born but northern resident now) it would be a nice touch to offer a better rate for 'Tasmanian' residents as many hotels do - to allow longer stays - or at least free parking or some other incentive.
The pool temp need increasing a little too - in the Tasmanian climate the pool needs to be a bit warmer to be comfortable. Sadly not designed/positioned in the best spot of the building (the Ibis have theirs right at the front with views for example) but still a better temp would make it more appealing.
The room was wonderful, beds extremely comfortable, bathroom was clean and well set out. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a huge array to choose from. We would definitely stay here again 😊
