Guest Reviews
The hotel has a good location within walking distance of the beach. In general, you can find everything you need nearby or just a few minutes away by taxi. The room is spacious, clean, and has everything necessary.
What I didn’t like was the restaurant. Everything I ordered from the menu was not tasty, and the prices were completely unjustified and overpriced. Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend using the restaurant. It’s better to order delivery or eat at other places nearby.
We arrived early and were able to check in straight away which was great, reception was also able to be flexible on late check out which was greatly appreciated. The staff were always polite and happy to help. We travelled during Ramadan and were given a document explaining the rules which was really helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The rooftop pool is great for relaxing during the day.
The pool doesn't have enough shade, most of the chairs are in full sun and there's only about 4 in full shade, so you can roast a bit up there. It would be great if they had some umbrellas or loungers with a head shade. There is parking under the property car hire is definitely recommended as the sights of Muscat are very spread out so nothing is really walkable.
Everything
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Royal Tulip. Le personnel est aux petits soins et très professionnel. C’était vraiment un plaisir d’y séjourner et nous y reviendrons sans hésitation. L’hôtel est beau, propre et sent toujours bon la rose. Il est équipé d’une salle de sport, d’un espace sauna/hammam et d’une piscine et tout est très bien entretenu. Le petit déjeuner était varié, changeait un peu tous les jours et était tout simplement très qualitatif !
Tout etait vraiment très bien donc les commentaires qui vont suivre sont vraiment de l’ordre du détail ! Je dirais que la télévision est un peu vieillot me dans le sens où on ne peut pas accéder aux applications type Netflix etc Nous avons donc demandé un cable HDMI pour connecter notre ordinateur portable. Au sinon, deux paires de pantoufles (plutôt qu’une) aurait été la bienvenue. Et peut être un débarassage des assiettes un peu trop préssé au moment du petit déjeuner. Pour finir, nous avons séjourné deux fois au Royal Tulip et la premiere nous avions eu une chambre qui donnait sur un batiment donc assez sombre mais la deuxième fois nous avions demandé une chambre avec une vue plus dégagée et ils ont repondu à notre requête. Bref vraiment des détails qui n’ont absolument pas terni notre experience mais qui pourrait les pousser encore plus vers l’excellence !
Convenient location, nice staff, great city and sea view from the room
Breakfast was great, wide variety to choose from. Staff was wonderful and attended to all your needs. Especially Komal and Asha that treated all the guests like royalty. Dining room is very clean. Samson, that works at the bar and rrestaurant on the roof is thé best human being, that Ihave ever met. He is tentative to your needs and a great people person. It is close enough to take a taxi to all the great landmarks in the city, Sultan Qaboos Mosque, Al Alam Palace, The Natiional Museum, Mutrah Souq and my favourie beach Qurum Beach with Kaldi Coffees superb coffee and cake, awesome sunsets and nice beach.
All was great, nothing negative to say.
