Cozy vibes, beautiful space, great bed
Pros:

I love the welcoming vibes of Kex. The lobby is luminous and a great place to relax during the day, and becomes animated with a great bar with delicious bites at night. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Bed is VERY comfortable and there are no chemical fragrances in the building. Windows open for some fresh air. The photo booth is a nice touch. Location is nice, close to buses and some cool thrifting. Windows do a good job of keeping the room quiet.

Cons:

The shower pressure isn't the best, but it is sufficient. While opening the windows is a nice feature sometimes there will be people smoking right underneath which is a bummer. I love this hotel but what I don't understand is why the chair in the room is the wrong fit for both the table and the desk! I wish I could work in my room but it's just not really possible.

Clean. comfortable quiet great location for the game
Jen and Christian, were helpful, friendly and caring.
Jen greeted us with a smile and helped us with parking.
They have a hopping bar and the best Guinness outside of Ireland. The bartenders were efficient and friendly and serve great drinks. A nice little kitchen for evening meals. We’re definitely staying at KEX when we return to Portland.

Cons:

It’s not a breakfast area.

Pros:

It’s simple and friendly nicely located and has a gym plus the front desk staff we’re very accommodating. They went out of their way to make my stay easy and special. Oh yeah, I almost forgot it has a sauna a good one.

Cons:

Nothing worth writing home to complain about. One man’s pet peeve is another man’s passion. Happy and sad. It’s an older building well renovated, and yet its imperfections provide its charm .

Pros:

This hostel is super nice. Really easy to get to from the airport (just a single train ride) and the room was so clean and modern. I was in a dorm and it makes such a difference having a curtain for each bed. Was really comfy!

Pros:

The rooms were well soundproofed and the location was central. I felt the rooms were secure and comfortable.

Cons:

I wish there was a kitchen with a fridge as I often needed a place to store food. The area was a little rough at times -- not at all unsafe, just a little more grimy than expected.

Pros:

Desk staff was super friendly, helpful, and cool. The Pacific Standard is super hip and cool, very good food.

Cons:

There wasn't enough counter space to set things in the bathroom. So there's nowhere except the dirty floor or a tiny sink ledge to lay out my hygiene products. A surface near the sink would be excellent.

Pros:

Desk staff were super friendly and helpful. They immediately moved and upgraded us based on problems with the bedside lamps.

Cons:

I wish we had known about the change in sauna policy. It used to be you could reserve time for your group to go alone, but now it is a shared resource that requires bathing suits. Not a problem, but a change from the past, so I came with different expectations.

Great stay at KEX Portland, very amazing hotel.
Pros:

The people at the front desk were so helpful! We loved our stay. The room was cozy and the shared bathroom was really clean. We had a great stay. A really great bar, too.

Cons:

The number on booking.com is incorrect.
