A lovely modern, refurbished guest house. Large rooms, and comfy beds.
Hotel good breakfast excellent
No facility for evening meal had to walk to a pub which entailed a steep path, climbing over a locked gate, walking through a cemetry up another steep hill. For me it was totally fine and i had no problems. But maybe for others could be an issue.
The staff were lovely and friendly, rooms were lovely decorated, very modern. I loved that we got given fresh milk in a thermos flask for our hot drinks as I hate the UHT milk. Receptionist couldn’t do enough for us.
There was a couple of dead wasps in the floor in the bathroom and a sticky patch on the floor where a drink had probably been spilt before us, so a quick double check with the cleaning in the future.
It was clean and with a good view.
You could hear next-door room speaking clearly and wasn't pleasant.
Clean Rooms, good breakfast. Value for money and view!
There wasn't a thing which I didn't like but if I have to be overly critical then perhaps the shower controls.
Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the whole place looks like it's just been refurbished. Short drive to where we wanted to be and walking distance to the pub
No evening food available. We could here the people speaking next door (they weren't loud), so we felt obliged to turn our TV off at 10, so we didn't disturb them.
Superb staff. The receptionist was extremely helpful.
The bed was comfortable, the room (and bathroom) were spacious and clean. Sockets in all the right places. Perfect ingredients for a stay.
There should be more places that offer these inclusive, accessible settings!!!!
No major quips. And these are REALLY minor...
- food offerings advertised in room packs didnt seem to match website. Room info should tell me what is availble . eg. I could book breakfast but no mention of packed lunches
- conversational swearing from electricians working outside isnt very professional
- fresh milk was left in mini churn in room. Lovely. However metal tins give things an odd flavour/smell (think water bottles) so couldnt tell if milk ok. Didnt risk pouring in coffee. Fresh milk is fine, but perhaps bottle with lid?
Beautiful area in Snowdonia, not far from Mount Snowdon. Nice breakfast and very friendly staff.
No restaurant in the hotel, there is one on walking distance though.
The views
The surroundings were amazing, beautiful views. Peaceful in the gardens
The staff were very helpful and polite.
The breakfast was lovely and came out as soon as we sat down as its preordered at a certain time which there was different time slot options available in the morning
Maybe we should have done a bit more research before we booked and although we knew we had a disabled joint access twin room, we didn’t realise we would be hearing everything our neighbours made.
There was a lot of screaming and shouting in the night. Our bathroom smelt very medical, it felt very hospital like.
We came in the mind frame that we wanted a bed for the night, and that is what we got but the bathroom wasn’t a pleasant smell
We ordered the same breakfast for both days but mine came out the 2nd day different. Was offered a replacement but decided to keep what was given which my husband was pleased as he got more
Location was okay
Blood on the sheets - staff changed but they were equally not very clean. He asked me if I wanted to change the sheets myself instead of him. He did change the sheets when I asked him to.
Bunk bed sounded like it was about to fall apart. Ended up only being able to use the bottom bunk as was too dangerous. Boiling hot - fan in room was thick with dust.
The reception staff was very helpful, gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner, and offered to help carry bags (not necessary). We particularly enjoyed the comfortable sofa on the front terrace where we watched the changing skies over the hills and the flight of house martins. It was very quiet and pleasant.
We didn't discover the level access to the entrance until after I had struggled up the front stairs. Directional signs would have been helpful.
