Very comfortable rooms, nicely decorated throughout the property
Kitchen living room with coffee , bread and milk is a great addition which is the real selling point. I will definitely return
Carpets in need of clean or replacing. Heavily stained
We had a wonderful stay at the Custom House Hotel. The communication and key handover were very smooth and completely uncomplicated, which made our arrival very easy and pleasant.
The accommodation itself was beautifully decorated in a charming maritime style, creating a very special and cozy atmosphere. We especially appreciated that we could help ourselves in the kitchen and use the coffee machine – it made for a perfect and relaxing start to each day.
A real highlight was our picnic at the harbour the evening before, where we enjoyed a stunning sunset – it truly made our stay unforgettable.
The location is also very convenient, as Glasgow can be easily reached by train, making it a great base for exploring the area.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend staying here!
Great location with secure parking. Beautiful old building, immaculately restored and maintained. Wonderful views. Loved the decor and the architecture. The communal kitchen is a real asset.

Lovely location with well maintained rooms
I found one of the doors quite difficult to open which caused me minor worry however the door at the front worked like a charm
Our room 4 was lovely . The views were e cellent and the size or the room was excellent.
The location of this property was lovely (once we found it). Set in the canal area of Forth and Clyde which had wonderful views over the locks and out over the River Clyde. Extremely peaceful in the evening as the gates closed to all but residents. The room itself was of a good size, very well presented and the bed great. Bathroom also well done out. Overall certainly one of the most original places we've stayed and one of the prettiest.
Although it seems to be normal these days to.have no staff on site, it's still a bit disconcerting as you have rely on texts/emails if problems arise. Details of check-in procedure only available on the day and we were coming from an area with poor Internet access which caused a bit of a hiccup.
There are limited options to eat nearby if you don't want to drive with the exception of a nearby cafe which closes at 4pm.
Fantastic room and open kitchen area for breakfast which is available all day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
