Right on the banks of the Little Pigeon River in downtown Gatlinburg, the Edgewater Hotel puts you at the heart of it all, walking distance from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Gatlinburg Strip. The eight-story hotel has 205 rooms, each with a private balcony overlooking the river or the Smoky Mountains.

Pros:

Location, friendly staff, people actually smiled. Breakfast was good. Pool was great.

Cons:

I HATED the parking, omg. And pay $15 a day?? The elevators are slow as you know what, the toiletries were not that great, nothing had any smell to it. The snacks and drinks are overpriced.

It was a nice stay. Short and sweet.
Pros:

It was in a convenient location. The first night we got there the lady at front desk was absolutely pleasant and a joy to speak to. We arrived on the 9th. The next morning on the 10 there was a lady at the desk who was at desk was rude and unprofessional. She acted like the hated her job. She doesn’t need to be working for the public until she learns to be friendly.

Cons:

The only thing I didn’t like was the tight parking and the office was not easy to find.

All of the maintenance issue staffs lack of response. Which tells me there is nothing unusual about these type of complaints nothing worked no hot water in my room And to the night auditor sorry I interrupted your nap

Stay was horrible.
Pros:

The location was great.

Cons:

The air conditioning did not work, it leaked and the carpet was soaked. AC also knocked all night long. Maid service never cleaned just dropped off new towels.

Mildewy River Front room.
Pros:

The location and the view.

Cons:

The room had a strong mildewy smell that wouldn't go away. There were ants all on the tv console. I was told there wasn't another room available to swap. Also we couldn't go to sleep until the haunted house closed after midnight.
