So much nicer than Calais.
Pros:

Gravelines turns out to be a neat and tidy place with an excellent (and reasonably priced) car park in the square.

The hotel is set adjacent to the belfry, hence the name. It is an attractive building from the outside and this continues inside.

Our room was a decent size and lacked for nothing, other than storage space.

We had dinner at the hotel which, whilst not outstanding, was nevertheless a very decent meal and saved us from the trouble of finding somewhere outside for a meal. Breakfast was the usual buffet that is inevitable these days and provided plenty of choice.

Cons:

It's always the small details these days, to keep running costs down everything is just a bit spartan. Things such as paper cups in the bedroom and bathroom, no shelves in the bedroom. Nothing enough to actually put you off, just a little disappointing.

Comfortabele eenvoud
Pros:

Het bed was zeer comfortabel en de kamer was ruim. Het ontbijt was goed. Met name de verse zaken zoals brioche, charcuterie, ei en spek waren lekker. De croissants en chocolade broodjes vielen tegen. Liever verse yoghurt en kwark.

Cons:

Er was een voortdurend gefluit van de luchtafvoer via het ventilatie systeem, waardoor we niet hebben kunnen slapen

Goed hotel met fijn restaurant vlakbij de haven

Les gens sont sympathiques et le lieu est agréable. Les chambres ont un certain cachet suivant ou vous êtes placés.

Cons:

Emplacement: il y avait une fête foraine sur la place du Beffroi toute la semaine 33 jusqu'à 23h00 et il était impossible de dormir avant cette heure là pour cause de nuisances sonores et d'un manque d'isolation sonore suffisant. Même en ayant la fenêtre de la chambre fermée, l'impression était que les manèges étaient dans la chambre, Cet hôtel est à éviter au mois d'aout à cause de cette fête annuelle, dommage car les gens sont sympathiques et le lieu est agréable
