Pros:

The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean,with no stains on them. There was hot water and it was very quiet during our stay. The staff were helpful.

Cons:

The mattress protector was badly stained, the shower didn't work, however there was a bath which wasn't very clean but after cleaning it, it was usable. The bathroom fixtures and fittings were very dirty and the toilet bowl was badly stained.The Internet worked for about 5 minutes then no more. The tv worked occasionally but that was no problem because we were not in the room much. The room was reasonably clean on the parts you could see but quite dirty if you looked behind any furniture. There was no breakfast option. We had come up to visit our daughter and were hoping that this hotel could have been a place we could have used as a regular stop over. I didn't expect the Ritz, as it was a budget hotel but I did expect it to be clean ,so we probably won't be using it again.

Room was warm, quiet and spacious.

Cons:

We had no hot water the first night and the TV didn't work, this was reported to reception first morning and when we got back in the evening we had hot water however TV was still not working. Room was also quite tired looking.

Run down stale cigarette smelling place
Pros:

Bed was comfy

Cons:

1)1st room main light didnt work, toilet didnt flush, no TV remote and stinking of cigarettes.
2) 2nd room skid marks in the toilet from the last guests, still stinking of cigarettes, no main light, walls filthy, the standing heater with one foot and the 'disabled call pulls' were all tied up high so if there was a fall there was no chance of reaching them! Oh and the kettle didnt work
