The location was ok, free parking. Room was ok but very basic.
Room was not very clean, needed hoovering before we arrived to be honest as the carpet had bits on it.
The people staying next door were very loudly arguing and banging on walls and furniture early hours in the morning. I complained, unsure if staff actually spoke to the person. No restaurant or bar for meals so had to go elsewhere.

The hotel fell well short of expectations. Having grown up nearby this hotel was always well regarded however it was well below our satisfaction and we left as soon as we had finished at our family event and didn’t stay the night
The facilities felt very tired and below par plus I had to fix the toilet cistern to enable the flush to work.

Stayed here many times and sometimes the attention to detail is lacking, often no bath mats, sometimes only a bath sheet and never a smaller towel, often the to doesn’t work. All things that are sorted by staff but I would prefer not to have to report these things in the first place

Run down,smashed windows,bathroom dirty,rats, smelly, wallpaper hanging off, thieves and undesirables hanging around the hotel. My husband got offered a woman for ***. It was disgustingly filthy

Everything possibly enjoyable was overtaken particularly by one of two specific issues. This was communicated to the hotel management and hopefully looked into.
Strong smell of nicotine or vape and things noted on the floor. See the view of the garden from the bedroom window.

Good quiet location, ample parking and most facilities as before. No option of meals as advertised already by the hotel so no surprises.
Issue with hot water supply to the bedroom I was allocated which appeared an isolated one. Staff at reception confirmed an unorthodox way of getting the hot water running again which appeared to work but already endured one cold bath before then.
Enjoyed booking.com bedroom upgrade to a family room. Large room which is quite suitable for 3 adults. Dated decor but largely fairly maintained. Bathroom facilities etc all okay although nothing luxurious. Water flow good for a relaxing shower. As usual, the Wifi worked well throughout my stay.
Nothing of concern to report with this enjoyable stay in a room upgrade.
The room ,is exceptional value for money, would recommend to anyone who asks,staff were polite, but over satisfactory.
