The pictures shown did not represent the room we actually got allocated
Drab and no hot water!
Staff memberJuan Carlos is a gem. Sincere honest and kind. And this for a reservation that wasn't without complications!! Mil gracias Juan Carlos -- you went above and beyond in supporting us in our stay. THe condo was fine. Upper floors of the condo are the best. We were traveling with an infant -- and we still left relaxed and happy.
The condo is in a quiet area away from the center -- both good and bad. The sofa bed would be ok to sleep on with a pillow top or foamie on it. Maybe the property could consider purchasing that? Otherwise all good.
Location is excellent & quiet
No safe for valuables but there is good security. I always felt safe.
In a leafy and quieter part of the town. Rooms were simple and nice with balconies and sliding doors. We stayed two weeks and staff were lovely. The pool is very nice but there is not anywhere to lounge about - the penthouse opens straight onto the pool area.
Our bathroom smelled really bad - we were offered an exchange but it wasnt so bad at first and I preferred the view. Then when it got worse it was too late and we had to put up with it
The room was perfect for 2 people. Nice bed, kitchenette, table for 4, couch. Easy to do breakfast/lunch from your room. The smaller rooms are on ground floor with windows onto the street. The rooftop pool was nice but a bit disconcerting with no hand rails. This could easily be fixed (and should). Would be great to have a couple outdoor chairs on the rooftop as well. It is a nice 15 minute walk to the centro (so it is quiet at night). Felt super comfortable walking day or night. A 5-7 minute walk to the beach. The property has chairs and beach towels for your use. The staff are super nice and very helpful. We would definitely stay again.
The only negative is that I felt like I needed to keep the drapes closed all the time otherwise everyone walking by could not see in. Only a couple of folding chairs on the roof. Some nice patio furniture is needed. You can hear street noise in the morning but it was not too bad.
comfortable beds, reliable wifi, quiet location, the room was big
We got it at a very low price, so one could say it was good value for money. But I saw that the price for other identical rooms was 10 times bigger... I just checked that rooms are 650 USD per night. Discounted from 900... This is absurd. This is a very basic room, there was even no shampoo, only hand wash and a soap. The distance from the beach is as big as it is possible in Puerto M. It was less than 1 km, because village is small, but still... And we got a room on the first floor and this particular room is like a joke. It is in the corner of the building, with huge windows on 2 walls, which open directly to a sidewalk. So without curtains you are like a fish in an aquarium. And with curtains you sit in the darkness, because lights are too weak to lit the big room. Choose this hotel only if the price is very cheap, as it is worth no more than 70 USD per night.
Not much unfortunately
We first booked 1 night and later decided to book another night. I sent a message to the hotel to ask if both nights could be placed in the same room to avoid having to do a room change. They confirmed this was no problem.
But on arrival it turned out we had to do a room change the next day. We were slightly disappointed by that, as they confirmed before this wouldn’t be necessary.
The room had a bit of a weird smell. And in the bathroom the smell was horrible. We are pretty sure this came from the drainage in the shower. We mentioned it to reception. The guy was friendly, but his English wasn’t very good and I don’t think he really understood it. I have worked as a hotel receptionist myself, and these kind of complaints should be taken very seriously.
On top of that, there are colored flashing lights on the building at night, which do shine through the window (and not enough covered by the curtain) which is pretty annoying when you try to sleep. I don’t recommend staying here. But if you do, please avoid staying in room 2 for all the above reasons!
The place completely fit my needs and I liked that it wasn’t right in the center of things.
I booked here because every room has a balcony. But since I was on the ground floor I had more of a patio and didn’t feel like I could leave things out to dry or sleep with just the screen door as I had hoped.
The staff is incredibly friendly and gets out of their way to accommodate your needs. The room is comfortable and big. Location although 15 min from the center walking is in a very nice area providing a lovely walk to services. Great value for money.
The shower head sprays water in all directions and needs fixing and it can smell a bit like sewage. But apart from that nothing.
Nothing
The floors were so dirty I didn’t want to open my suitcase or take off my shoes. Room smelled of mist and mold. The bed sheed’ts were dirty, bugs in my bed and dirt marks on pillows. The room had only one sliding door facing outside and it faced a cement wall.
The staff was very friendly and the location was excellent. 5 minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to town.
The property was not at all as depicted online, which prompted me to check out after two days rather than my planned 2 weeks. I was supposed to have a room with a balcony on a higher floor. Instead I was given the ground floor 5 feet from the lobby desk. Rooms 1-4 were on this floor. I could hear conversations and the outside door opening and closing i.e. could not sleep at night or relax during the day. Obviously no balcony either. While the studio was clean, it is outdated and needed several repairs. Nothing was new and fresh. The mattress was NOT comfortable leading me to have a lot of back pain and spasms after one night, and I am not a person with back problems. I spoke to two people on a higher floor. They experienced an odor in their room and no seating to enjoy their balcony. There is a nice rooftop pool, but no lounge chairs as pictured online. I was told the chairs got very old, so were replaced with 3 foldup chairs.
I have stayed at hostels and 5* hotels. As long as the room is clean, it us fine with me. But, the listing for this Condo/Hotel was not reflective of the studio itself.
Furniture was not very comfortable, The head board for the bed wasn't attached to anything and when you moved on the bad the head board banged against the wall. I had to run the shower for over five minutes before any hot water was available. The show head was clogged so only five or six of the nozzles actually delivered any water. There were no lights by the closet so it was hard to see inside. My room was on the main floor across from the reception desk so any activity at the desk was heard inside my room.
The location was ideal, walking 2 blocks to the beach and 1 mile to the main plaza.
The foul order coming from the drainage system.
Everything was very clean and comfortable.
